Story

We are staffed by friendly and knowledgeable music lovers who will be happy to talk you through everything from your first midi controller, an audio interface, the best in studio monitors, a complex analogue synthesiser or, of course, the very latest house or techno twelve inch.

The shop opened in August 1992 selling underground dance music vinyl to the good people of Scotland and beyond. Since then we have grown into a company that sells music, recording equipment, DJ gear and all the latest in music technology. Not to mention us distributing vinyl to other record stores all over the world!

We stock a wide selection of music ranging from Techno, House, Dubstep, Disco, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rock, Funk, Soul, Jazz and all it’s variants.

In equipment we stock products from bigger brands like Native Instruments, M-Audio, Akai, Novation, Pioneer, Sennheiser, KRK, Genelec, Shure, Rode, Adam Audio, Korg, Moog Music, Presonus and Dave Smith Instruments as well as focusing on unusual, niche products from boutique companies like Elektron, Analogue Solutions, Neumann, Jomox, Doepfer and MFB.

Whether you’re a vinyl lover, digital DJ, bedroom producer, singer-songwriter, drummer or run a professional studio, Rubadub welcomes and caters for all.

Popped in for the first time today. Great staff with an enthusiastic knowledge of the synths on offer and a great bit of banter about The Cramps live in Amsterdam! In other words, everything you would want from a good music and record shop.
The shop is easy to find, the boss is very nice, When I went to the shop, I did not prepare to buy, I asked if I could take two photos, the boss very readily agreed, the shop is full of electronic audio equipment, but also uninterrupted playing electronic music, very harmonious atmosphere, interested friends can go to have a look.
Amazing customer service and excellent choice of top quality equipment. I needed a new power adapter for my Native Instruments S4 and these were the only site to have the original ones. Perfect. :
Awesome shop that is a Glasgow institution, just dropped a fortune on a new mixer and needles which arrived bang on time. I used their funding/finance options on their website for my purchase which was super easy, approved instantly and purchase confirmed in minutes. Dead easy to navigate the whole process. In Glasgow for me is a reference.... went their buy some techno records, also headphones. Visit the place if you like analogically machinery, like drum machines, Synthesizers, grooveboxes.... Definitely don't miss the opportunity to visit the space
Very kind, highly knowledgeable staff. I saw some reviews saying they had unfairly priced things, but I've not seen anything that was completely out of what should be expected price wise.
Recently bought an expensive piece of kit from here - the Qu-Bit Data Bender Stereo Audio Buffer Eurorack Module. I was able to negotiate a bit on price and the item was sent out with tracked shipping super fast and arrived on the day promised. A*** service from Mark via email and across the border.
Love a trip down to Rubadub. The staff are always so welcoming and super helpful. They're happy to order records from the warehouse into the store for collection to save on shipping fees. Easy to support local and independent when they're so good.
An item we had our eyes on wasn't due back in stock for three to four months. One email and Dan ordered me some in. A day later he emailed back to let me know. Service is ridiculously good. Great patter in the shop too, good vibes and good for info!
