The newly refurbished River Thai Restaurant & Bar nestled beautifully by the River Severn in the center of Shrewsbury Town. Designed in a classic contemporary style with all internal seating offering stunning river views across the River Severn, offering internal cover for up to 60 guests.

Externally you can enjoy drinking & dining on the 77 square metre cantilevered decking to enhance the feeling of being on the river and watching the natural wild life that inhabits the River Severn.

With original Thai cooking, Khun Aom the lead chef gained her experience in her family’s restaurants in Thailand for many years and is now sharing her knowledge and expertise in offering her recipes for us to savor.

Having gained her knowledge through her mother & grandmother and their restaurant in the North West of Thailand, Aom progressed with her family and relocated to Pataya where they opened a more lucrative restaurant.
Having reached the pinnacle of her career in her family’s restaurant, Aom set her ambitions on moving to England where she has worked for the last 7 years in various restaurants and gained additional experience.
Aom is extremely traditional in her style of cooking and gives great attention to detail, offering new and exciting dishes that aren’t normally on Thai menus along with traditional street food receipts.
For those of you who have visited Thailand, you may be familiar with these street food dishes.

Thai cooking is a way of life and forms part of Thai culture and every effort is made to decorate and present the food in the best way possible for people to enjoy.
