Can't vouch for the cocktails or food but the selection of beers isn't up to much. What very little is in offer is decent enough. Not the greatest of atmospheres. It is clean and welcoming when it's quiet though.

Great selection of drinks and on the whole good staff. A bit pricey and not sure about 50p for a dash of lime in a pint of lager. Keeps the young drunks out though but then again some times the older crowd can be worse!

Absolutely love this place, food is great. Service is excellent. Great selection of cocktails. Such great atmosphere.

Extremely poor service. I cannot say how the food tasted because it never came. The menu looks amazing. I ordered a extremely poor service. I cannot say how the food tasted because it never came. I arrived at 18:00 on Thursday evening .There were four people together at bar chatting and drinking pints. The menu looked amazing. I ordered a pint. I ordered an appetizer and a main dish. 43 minutes after I ordered no food served. During that entire time no one that worked at the pub spoke with me. No one said anything about the dishes I ordered. At that point, I noticed that there were no cooking smells emanating from what appeared to be in the kitchen area. I left. I will never go back. If I could leave zero stars I would. In response to the Alb's reply to my review. I got my dates confused. I was in Shrewsbury twice. Once in January and once in March. The January visit to Shrewsbury was when I visited the Alb. That was my error. The review concerns a visit on January 2 or 3. I am sure I will be on the cc tv from then. There were only four or five patrons drinking next to the bar. Two fellows seated at the table closest the door. One person at the long high bar table. The rest of my review was accurate. I am quite sure I was in your restaurant. Your menu was amazing. . I ordered the nachos and the BBQ ribs. It was a hard choice between the ribs and a Greek dish (name I can't remember). Everything sounded great. I did wait 43 minutes without any employee checking on me and I never received my food. When I left the bartender apologized. I paid for the two beers I drank. I thought it was cheeky of your staff to make me pay for beers in light of the fact that my food never came. I paid with a Visa credit card. So, a review of your receipts for the first week of January will show my full name on a bill--Willem G Gentry for two lagers.
