Ideal overnight stay in Shrewsbury. Located a 5 minute walk from the train station the hotel was quite easy to find. Check-in was easy but only 1 self check-in machine was working. Room clean and comfortable as you would expect. The restaurant/bar closed earlier than what I thought it would which was a shame but still a good stay regardless.
Nice hotel, only complaint was, there wasn't anyone on reception on my arrival only one of the self serve machine and that one was playing up, service was ok apart from when I ordered my meal, then had to wait 30 minutes for my food to arrive and the restaurant was not that busy, but when it did, it was hot and fresh so no real problems, TV in the room didn't work well due to the remote battery was flat, Parking at this hotel is in the bottom of a multi storey carpark and very narrow bays I drive a WV Transporter which is not a wide vehicle but struggled to park. £13.00 per night to park I feel is a little steep.

From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care made the experience feel so personal and welcoming.nnThey handled everything with such warmth and efficiency — it’s clear they truly take pride in their work and the comfort of their guests. You can tell when people love what they do, and Tracey and Bella absolutely do.nnThey both deserve to be recognised for their amazing attitude and outstanding service. Premier Inn is lucky to have them — they turned a simple stay into a memorable experience!
This hotel is ideal as a base for exploring Shrewsbury town centre via the nearby Darwin Shopping Centre. You know what you're getting with Premier Inn and it's not for everyone. This one is enhanced hugely by the team member Ellen. As well as her overall friendliness, she dealt perfectly with two separate requests I made during my stay.nThe Thyme restaurant on the premises is very spacious, ensuring a relaxed personal environment for enjoying breakfast there. Although the chain's breakfast choice has never been vast, the food that was offered was very tasty.nOverall, I found it a very well-priced hotel in a town that is an excellent place to spend a few days.
We stayed for 2 days for a wedding nearby. The room was freezing cold, draft coming from the windows non stop via cracks. The air con did not heat the room up at all, even at max temp. This was in both rooms we had reserved.nnStaff were really lovely and welcoming. I would not recommend staying here in the winter, in the summer you would probably be fine. Location was really great with the town less than 5mins walk away.
