Been here many times. Can't really rate it highly enough - wide menu which changes every month, generous portions, fresh vegetables, cheerful staff, very tasteful decor, excellent value for money. Can't think of any way that a restaurant of this type can be improved.

Fantastic experience. From the moment i want in every server was very kind, polite and made me feel welcome. Food arrived in a good time and tasted amazing. Would definitely come again.

I visited Bistro Jacques with my partner whilst visiting Shrewsbury, and am very glad that we did. We decided to go with the lunch menu, and were amazed at the quality of the food included. I forget how much it actually cost, but for my partner and I to have three courses and a glass of wine each for £30 is amazing. Often, in London (where we live) these lunch menus will be somewhat meagre, and lower quality than were you to order a la carte. The service was impeccable from start to finish, and I absolutely could not fault this place.

Excellent value Tuesday special menu. The belly pork is superb. Very nice risotto, could just do with a slightly larger portion.
