Echoing previous reviews which I wish I’d seen in advance, but I’d thoroughly recommend avoiding this place. We used Yourparkingspace.co.uk to book a parking space. Asked politely to use the toilet but instead got shuffled out and shouted at. Security were swearing and aggressive - it’s definitely not a hotel now but whatever it is should be shut down.
If I could leave a lower review I would. I am a cab driver and I saw this hotel at 6AM and went in and asked if I could use their toilets. The person I asked got up from behind his desk and asked me to follow him so I did. He literally walked me out and then told me I couldn't use the toilets. I understand saying that the toilets are for customers only however, belittling me like that was so rude and uncalled for. Absolutely disgusting.
The Hub/Hotel is located near the Southbank of the River Thames and close to Lambeth Palace. Clean beds, laundry done efficiently. The receptionists have a poor command of English and were rudely dismissive when I called to speak to one of their guests receiving emergency treatment at St. Thomas's Hospital. Customer Service needs an overhaul, but otherwise it's okay.
Room had no power in any socket for first 4 days. The shower is constantly boiling hot and unable to cool down. I keep.smelling "sandwich" odor which radiates from the wall or roof which is off-skewed from the room and appears hollow. Strange but noticeable. Bed is comfy and a blessing. Pillows are firm but I've had worse, especially down Oakley. No phone, iron or ethernet. WiFi good and genuine, although open access.
This place is TERRIFYING. I would advise you to avoid. The staff are so rude and intimidating. I should have known not to book this from previous reviews. Keep yourself safe guys and avoid I really don't want anyone to get hurt here.Rooms: 1/5
I have to say I don't understand some of the negative reviews for this hotel. I stayed with a colleague for a buisness trip and the Hotel ticked all the boxes. Well connected location, large comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and a tasty breakfast. Staff were also very friendly, can't fault it!Rooms: 5/5
The bathroom was very nice the room was a little dated but had all the amenities and was clean. The receptionist seemed confused when my colleagues and I were checking in for some reason. The location is great
Pretty average. Very cheap for the location but the hotel doesn't look like it has been updated or maintained over the past few decades. Room is an okay size and clean, just very worn. Breakfast was pretty basic and poor. Not bad for quick overnight stays for business, or people on a real budget that need to be in the centre of London.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the bathroom is great. Unfortunately there are two points which are not optimal. 1. No air condition. The room gets incredibly hot. So the window is the only chance to get at least some cool air. But with open window, point two has great impact... 2. A police station is in direct neighborhood, producing a lot of noise. These two points made it very hard for us to get some sleep and should be considered especially in summer.
Yes the rooms are a bit dated, but you get plenty of room, which in central London is unheard of at this price. Found the staff to be friendly and attentive. Room was clean and had a good enough shower. There is also a car park, probably space for 10 cars which is worth remembering. Height at the entrance is 2.8m from memory. There is a bar with various t.v. screens - I watched a champion's league game there during my stay. All in all not a bad hotel at all.
