Really lovely site close to the river and town within walking distance. We stayed on the hot weekend in August so top temp was 33 by mid afternoon. This did stop me from wanting to explore with the dog purley down to the heat. I've never camped before without EHU but managed well. Great facilities and the main shower block is lovely & clean. My only reason for 4 was lack of choice for breakfast and no on site pop up shop for milk and bits of food. It would be nice even if it only opened in a morning. Will definitely be back.
Just spent 3 days and 2 nights at this little gem of a camping spot. Toilets and showers were of in my opinion spotlessly clean and immaculate, some of the best I have ever stayed in. Aubrey gave myself and Bonnie my little black sprocker a fantastic welcome and so did Murph his older and grumpier cocker but adorable. 5 minute walk to the river and the town, fantastic walks and plenty to see. Another thank you goes out to Geoff and Ros who I met walking the fields back to the campsite. Will definitely be back hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Thank you all. Peter & Bonnie
Just came home from an absolutely amazing stay at Racquety farm! We mostly dealt with Ros who was SO nice and helpful! Hay is probably our favourite place in all of the UK, and the farm was the perfect place for us to enjoy it. Very close to town, super accessible to all that Hay and the river Wye have to offer! We arrived later than we meant to, but Ros was a champ and helped us get our bearings. Everything was easy to find, and we had plenty of space to stretch out over a nice weekend. We 100% recommend and would love to come back - thanks again Ros!
Beautiful simple camping area so close to the town. The shower is amazing as promised! and there is a little nook with washing up facilities for campers as well compete with mini fridge for drinks. The geodomes looked awesome as well so might have to try those out next time. Ros was lovely as well and made me feel very welcome :
Booked for one night and managed an extra night as we were so impressed with location, hosts and facilities, a wonderfully chilled few days. “Semi Wild Camping” an amazing outdoor shower .... a real bonus and not expected. Thank you Ross & Geoff x
Myself and my partner stayed here for a long weekend recently. As we travelled from London after work on a Friday in half-term traffic we ended up arriving very late, we kept Ros informed and she very kindly met us in the dark to get us sited with our camper van. A couple of days later we arrived back at the site in the afternoon after a day our only to find several tents on our pitch complete with family!! It was clear they hadn’t read their emails properly regarding pitch number but life’s too short to kick off, so we phoned Ros who agreed to come over and sort it out. She found us another pitch the other people’s actual pitch!! so we could get on with our evening. Facilities are all good. No ladies and gents, just a number of toilets & toilets with showers in them which can be used as family bathrooms if required, handy when you have little kids. The site is very handy for Hay, takes about 10 mins or so to walk in. We will be happy to stay again!
Lovely campsite in excellent location just 5 min walk into beautiful hay on wye. We did feel at £15 per person per night the price was quite high for camping but the facilities were excellent and plenty of, so never had to wait for shower and all cubicles were found clean whatever time of day we visited. The pitches were a good size and well laid out with firepit included! I would stay here again and would recommend
Easily the best campsite on Offa’s Dyke and probably in the whole borderlands/brecons area. Beautiful location and exceptional facilities. Has both outdoor washing and shower/WC facilities if you want to stay close to nature but also fantastic probably the best I’ve seen indoor facilities as well. The site has a great focus on sustainability as well, including even providing biodegradable shampoo etc to keep their septic tank happy! Would highly recommend and would certainly come back
Great Campsite, everything that you need is here. The shower and toilet area was spacious, clean and tidy. The owners are very friendly too. There is an option in the mornings to pay extra for breakfast too, bacon sandwiches, coffee ect. The campsite is a 5-10 minute walk from Hay-On-Wye too.
Fantastic site and experience - again. Aubrey and the team deliver such a relaxed environment - yet so close to the town of Hay.
