I’ve stayed here twice. The campsite was well organized with the pitch numbers. The toilets and showers were extremely clean. The owners were really friendly.nnIt’s an ideal location to explore Hay-on-Wye 5 min walk and next a start / finish point of the Offa’s Dyke Path.
A wonderfully quirky campsite with everything very well thought out. Fantastic outdoor showers and very clean compost toilets. A quiet and perfect location to stay at while walking the Offa's Dyke Path.
A nice campsite with good facilities, very peaceful and easy to book.nnNice, peaceful location, lovely to lie in bed listening to the owls hooting, and an easy walk into Hay-on-Wye.nnThe only downside, and this wasn't the campsites fault, was what appeared to be a local paragliding school or similar that appeared to stay flying their very noisy paragliders at 7am in the morning.nnPretty annoying if you've gone away for a relaxing weekend and fancied a peaceful lie-in no chance.
One of the best campsites for hikers on Offa's Dyke Path! The bathrooms are amazingly luxurious—each one has a shower, sink, and toilet, with soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. There's also a handy little shed with a fridge-freezer and power to charge phones and power banks. I stayed here while hiking Offa's Dyke and liked it so much I came back two weeks later with my wife while on holiday.
Really lovely site close to the river and town within walking distance. We stayed on the hot weekend in August so top temp was 33 by mid afternoon. This did stop me from wanting to explore with the dog purley down to the heat.nnI've never camped before without EHU but managed well. Great facilities and the main shower block is lovely & clean. My only reason for 4 was lack of choice for breakfast and no on site pop up shop for milk and bits of food. It would be nice even if it only opened in a morning.nnWill definitely be back.
