Nice place for the kids and dogs on leads, if you take them off the lead the dogs that is keep them away from the front edge as there is no fence to stop them running into the road. A small fenced enclosure in the centre is suitable for free range dogs Autumn Garden Cafe on site Camera parking, pay on exit, 1 hour circa £1.50 All paths lead to Rome, you could try and get lost but you wouldn’t succeed. Gruffalo Trail will keep the little ones busy Would advise boots in the wetter months as some of the paths a tad sticky. High heals and silly shoes not advised If you want some more entertainment go and visit Hampton Court house and gardens up the road circa 10 mins away Or visit Wellington Garden Centre for Nicky knacks, salvage and very nice home made cakes.
We visited today to do the Gruffalo Trail and really enjoyed our visit. The trail was lovely and the cafe was nice for lunch
We stumpled across this place & in all fareness it was a nice place walked the dog lots of paths to go on. We followed the Gruffalo trail which was intresting. They had maps dotted around the woods but the trail was flat so had no problem good for wheelchair users Now the carpark is free for Blue Badge holders but only if the office is open if shut u have to pay
My little girl had so much fun hunting for the gruffalo characters, nice little play area too
Wonderful for a walk any time.
Two year old grandson loved this place. Great walk and enjoyed the Gruffalo theme. The trees are also really beautiful!
The park is easy to find and located directly off the main A road, so no country lanes to navigate. We arrived mid-afternoon and the car park was mostly empty. There is a cafe and a play area for the kids to play in located near the entrance to the park. There are picnic tables dotted around the kids play area, great for parents! The park offers several trails, one of which is a Gruffalo trail, which is very good for a walk with the kids. The Gruffalo trail takes about an hour to do this includes stopping for pictures with the Gruffalo characters along the trail. At various points along the trail there are maps showing your location and activities for the kids to do. There were a few people having barbeques too, and I think the park offers hiring of barbeques/pizza ovens but not really sure of the specifics. With only the parking fee to pay, this is a great walk for kids and adults alike.
Autumn colours were fabulous. Lots of different paths and trails to follow.
Cafe was shut and a £35 parking fine.
Loved it here - such a lovely walk round not too long for kids and not too short either just perfect the outside play area is absolutely amazing - kids loved it. Cafe does amazing hot chocolates
