I have been a regular guest at this hotel for the past 15 years, but unfortunately, my recent stay was quite disappointing. There was no proper room cleaning service, and fresh linens or towels were unavailable. During my 8-day stay, housekeeping services were provided only on two days. The rooms now lack cupboards for storage, which seems to cater only to one-day travelers, while my stays typically last 8-10 days. This decline in service is deeply concerning, especially for a loyal guest like me
Great hotel 5 minutes walk from 3 different tube stations and easy to hail a black cab from. The room was clean and spacious with a reasonable view. Breakfast was good with a variety of menus and the bar was nice. No car park though so you need to park in the multi storey 2 minute walk away or use an app to book a private space as we did half a mile away which was no Biggie. Yes I'd stay here again.
Location was good but service was seriously lacking. We booked over 3 months in advance - 2 groups of 4 - and despite that, all of us booking for 8pm meal was an issue. Slowest service ever despite only us 8 and 2 to 4 others being in the restaurant. We waited over an hour for food and almost another hour for dessert. Excuse was it wasn't the normal chef, they were busy not! Even asked us to book the next evenings food in the morning. Sorry but no! I've stayed at premier Inn's all over and this has been the absolute worst to date!
Dear.. Is cheap all you have? This hotel is so old. Don't assign uncleaned rooms to discriminate against Asians. Being assigned a room far from the elevator and close to the outside of the building is a sign that the hotel is unwelcoming. You don't want Asians to stay in your hotel, but what can you do to make a profit? What is the spirit of a hotel.... It is ironic that you are also a person of color. The only thing your hotel has to brag about is the breakfast and the staff in the kitchen.
Comfortable rooms with nice added touches of tea/coffee making facilities. They'd thought of those asking for extra milks, etc, by having an abundant supply in the foyer. Super breakfast. Rooms are perhaps better to the front as there's a slight noise from passing trains, though this wasn't enough to disturb sleep.Rooms: 4/5
Really nice room and very convenient for Tower of London. The only negative was the very poor greeting from the male check in staff member. There was no welcome or greeting at all. His first words to me were 'surname?' It didn't improve from there. He handed me an electronic key and didn't tell me what my room number was or what floor I was on. It's funny how one person can spoil a visit. Breakfast was good and the bar staff and catering team were very friendly. This review should not stop you going there as the hotel for an overnight stay was good. I hope Premier Inn read this review to see who booked me in to room 204 on 30th July. Rooms: Good size room. Very clean with quiet aircon. It was only a king size bed but very comfortable.
Standard Premier Inn, which is not a criticism. Quiet, decent shower, good night's sleep. Reception staff can get overstretched at busy times, multitasking checking people in, taking food and drink orders, answering questions etc so be prepared for a wait.Rooms: 5/5
Staff very friendly and more than helpful. The room we had look like it had been recently updated and was clean, fresh and modern. Breakfast was fresh and to reasonable standard. The hotel is closed to the Tower of London with good transport linksRooms: 5/5
Great location, but that's about it really. Had to queue for about 15 mins to check in with a man with zero social skills. We had a basement room which immediately stank of damp when we walked in. Would have gone right back to reception to ask to move rooms but didn't fancy the queue/challenging social interaction again. Used aftershave to cover the smell. Had a decent nights sleep all told. Others have complained about the view, ours was of a set of emergency fire escape stairs - but I don't go to a Premier Inn expecting panoramic views of the Thames, I go there to sleep. On the way out, noticed a whole chunk of one of our walls didn't actually exist - it was just wallpaper over a void! :D Not good enough for the prices you're charging.
We came here because they have air conditioning. We absolutely loved it and was a perfect hotel to stay at while in London. Good service from staff. 10 minute walk to the Tower Bridge and about 30 min walk to London Bridge Station. 10/10 would recommend and I will be looking for another Premier Inn for future travels.Rooms: 5/5
