My experience at this hotel was exceptional. The customer service is truly unmatched. The amenities, including a laundry machine, dishwasher, stove, and full kitchen utensils, made my stay incredibly convenient. The facilities were impeccably clean, and the gym is the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The location is also ideal—just a block from the tube station, with restaurants and pubs nearby. I’ll definitely be staying here again. Anika and her team run a fantastic hotel!
Location is good, right next to Brick lane, a tube station, lots of restaurants and bars around. The overall interior design was nice, a bit lack luster compared to other Locke hotels I’ve stayed in. Aspects of the room were a bit tired and unkept - the bath needed resealing and the couch was a little stained. The air conditioning control ran out of battery, the room was stuck at 24 degrees.. which was pretty uncomfortable. Reception staff tired to help and were very apologetic but said it couldn’t be fixed that night. I was compensated with a free coffee but I guess there wasn’t a lot else to offer. I wouldn’t stay here again
Very Basic accommodation. Not worth the price. Staff at re reception totally unresponsive and not willing to help. During 3 days stay the property was not able to arrange fresh towels even once as towels were not available. So weird. In kitchen no Paper Towels being provided. Rooms are not very well lit, so difficult to get ready. No way going to stay again or even recommend it. Bit difficult to find the entrance as it’s from back side no signage to help Front side door is accessbalw for couple of hours in the morning.
We had a fantastic October stay at Leman Locke! Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist, setting a great tone for our visit. Our one-bedroom studio was spotless and perfectly comfortable for two, with everything we needed. The location is ideal—just a 7-minute walk to Aldgate East Tube, making it easy to get around, and with a Sainsbury’s only 5 minutes away for any essentials. The café downstairs also serves superb food, adding to the convenience and overall experience. Highly recommend Leman Locke for anyone visiting London!
Locke work to a great formula for their hotel rooms and apartments, and in London they are small, efficient and highly functional. I can't believe what they fit in there. Always comfortable, well-appointed and clean. This one in Aldgate is pretty close to things and has lots of eating options nearby. Would happily stay there again. Only sour facet was I asked for a cab to St Pancras at 430am. They booked a fixed price hire car for £33 - mate, I asked for a cab, not a ripoff!
Loved my stay at Leman Locke whilst working in the area! The apartment-style rooms have everything you need. The location is perfect—close to Aldgate East station and plenty of great spots to explore. Staff were friendly, and the vibe of the place is both stylish and relaxed. Highly recommend if you're looking for a homey, yet luxurious stay in London!
The hotel is in a relatively quiet location & has many good food options in that part of east London. Pros: roomy, well equipped apartment hotel, quite clean, quiet, and staff service was good. It was also very close to transit Aldgate East stn Cons: bit of shower caulking mould but not bad If I could I would've given this hotel a 4.75 rating.
Fantastic stay at Leman Locke. The studio was well equipped e.g., washer/dryer, electric stove, utensils, laundry capsules. Room size was adequate. Good location next to a couple of tube stations. Our hosts - Lulia and Dixie - were friendly. In particular, Lulia took care of us very well e.g., responding quickly to our requests.Rooms: 5/5
I selected this hotel for our stay in London since it was near the Towers of London as well as average priced. This hotel is located in Aldgate within steps from the Aldgate East tube. Even the White Chapel station and Aldgate station are within walking distance... we discovered the tube transportation on our 2nd day in London. Aldgate is a more affordable neighborhood compared to some of the other areas in London. Leman Locke is within a couple blocks of Bricklane - MANY restaurants. Leman Locke offers activities Wed thru Sun... Sadly, the bar was not open during our Sun - Tues stay. Our room looked like a mini apartment with an overview of a local playground. It had a mini kitchen; the hotel provided a couple of coffees, teas, and cleaning supplies for dishes. It also had a microwave and mini fridge. You can secure your passport, etc, in the safe. The bathroom was small but sufficient. It held a regular size shower with a pedestal sink and toilet. The hotel provides you with hair shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as well as hand soap. Our room held a full-size bed. I, myself, prefer a bit softer mattress....i had a hard time sleeping, which could've been contributed by my achy muscles from the many miles we walked on our adventures. The pillows were sufficient. The room also held a small round table with two chairs we never utilized. Our check-in was very fast, and their staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had some issues with the Wi-Fi connection, which was resolved while we were on our excursion. There is a small gym in the basement. Leman Locke has a small coffee shop near the reception area. You can purchase coffee, teas, quick breakfast, sandwiches, and snacks at a fair price. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel due to its location; near Tower of London & other attractions, and several train stations. Rooms: The have rooms varying from studio to apartments Nearby activities: Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Big Ben Safety: I felt very safe! Some areas might have looked a little sketchy, but I think that's just how some areas in London's are. Walkability: Near 3 local tube stations and Tower of London, Tower bridge Food & drinks: Many bars, restaurants etc nearby
Pros: Great location. Super close to the tube and other main sites Friendly service. Clean and modern. Great water pressure. Good amount of dishes, pots and pans and utensils. Strong air conditioning. Good noise control. Couldn't hear my neighbours at all. They provide dishwasher and laundry cleaning pods. Cons: So dark in the rooms. The pot lights are placed too far behind the mirror in the washroom. I couldn't see my face properly. Bed is so squeaky and the mattress was so lumpy. Heated towel rack doesn't get very hot and takes a while to get your towel actually heated up. Elevator has no down option? It only has one button so you just hop on and hope no one in the floors above you pressed for the elevator if your intended destination is to go down. This is fine if you stay in the lower floors we stayed on the 5th floor because then you could just take the stairs but I can't imagine if you stayed in a room on floor 9 or above.
