I was there for a work function. The food was tasty, but the steak was very chewy. The desserts were lovely. The room for our away day was laid out quite well. we were provided with pens and pads. There was a stage and two screens we could see all the presentations. The facilities were well laid out with paper towels and dryers. The toilets were clean. At the time, they were putting up the Christmas decorations. The receptionists were helpful and polite.
Great hotel in a fantastic location, close to Tower Bridge and Borough Market. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with complimentary coffee and water. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. The hotel offers concierge service for luggage storage and has leisure areas like a pool and spa. I didn’t use them, but they seemed popular with guests. Robes are also provided in the room. The only downside was that only one elevator was working, which caused some waiting. Despite that, I’d recommend the hotel and would stay again.
It is a lovely hotel. Bed was fantastic, shower was epic. Spa was very good and a good weights room for a hotel gym. The bar area is a bit of a disaster, it's too bright. The staff are nice and the breakfast was very good. Omelette was excellent. The dining room is just a bit odd and needs a redesign. But overall I had a lovely stay here.
Stayed here in September 2004. absolutely brilliant in every aspect. Booked this hotel through Booking.com from Australia. Asked for a room with a view if possible. Boy did they deliver. See photos but we had a magnificent of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Room was very comfortable, beds great. There was a restaurant downstairs out back with a view of the Roman wall right next to it. There was a great bar and cafe called Corvo downstairs at the front which is where we frequented during our stay. Staff there were great, friendly and attentive. Old fashions and coffee just great. Front of house staff were fantastic, especially the concierge service led by Robert who was just brilliant could not have been any better The hotel is situated 50m from Tower Hill station so could travel any where from there on the Tube. It is walking distance to Tower Bridge and The London Tower, Sky garden and numerous other attractions just over the Tower Bridge. We will definitely be staying there in the future on our return to London. Noteworthy details: Great Position, Great service, Great people.
This is the best hotel I’ve ever been to. Such nice rooms and a nice lobby and so beautiful in general. The room view was good I could see the buildings and looked beautiful at night. There is a big pool with a jacuzzi and is so relaxing. The staff are so respectful and kind. The buffet for breakfast was very healthy and delicious. It is a 10 minute walk from London Bridge and easy access to shops like tesco. Will come here again totally recommend it.
We had a brilliant 2 night stay here. The room was great with lots of space, a very comfy bed and a nice bathroom. The staff were all incredibly polite and helpful and made our time there a real holiday, and the complimentary cocktail delivered to the room was a lovely touch. We will definitely be back when we are next on holiday in London.
Beautiful hotel. Great rooms, lovely breakfast, wonderful staff in a perfect location for both central London and East London Abba Voyage. A real treat from start to end for us! Fantastic swimming, sauna and steam room experience. Everywhere was so clean, from the showers to the pool. The gym was great, too - so well equipped for a hotel gym - super impressed! The spa treatment we had was sensational - please don't change anything - it is all so perfect and we are excited about returning to do it again! The ladies who work in the spa were all so lovely and make you feel so relaxed and important : Special mention to your young trainee receptionist who was so welcoming, friendly and helpful during our stay. I don't recall her name but she was working on Saturday when we checked in at around midday; she is a real asset to your team and I hope she goes far in her career! Well done to an amazing team and an incredibly well run hotel - thank you Rooms: Nice, spacious rooms with big windows and great bathrooms executive
Had an amazing stay here this weekend! The staff is very attentive and kind. Nissan especially was very attentive during our stay. We got an upgrade which was very very nice! The spa was great and relaxing. The hotel in general has a good vibe and looks nice.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable and the shower was wonderful. Great location for trains & tube. Walking distance to many attractions. The only suggestion I would make is to get softer pillows as I thought they were too hard.Rooms: 4/5
Was really looking forward to our stay at this hotel but my stay was ruined by the attitude of the front desk. It was confirmed via email on the night before, an early check in from 12pm. When I arrived at this time I was told that no rooms were available and that I wouldn't be able to get a room until 3pm. I explained that I had confirmation but this was met with rudeness and no offer of 'you are welcome to wait in the lounge area' or 'I will let you know as soon as a room is ready'. I felt as though the staff FOH were dealing with a very busy incoming and outgoing but their customer service was not up to a 4-star hotel by any means. The room was lovely, but again, once in the room I found I couldn't access the mini bar without adding my card at the front desk before hand. Should this not have been explained at check in? The Spa was ok. The steam room was a big let down with little steam and a dirty towel plugging the vent - which actually fell on a guests head when trying to relax in the room! I felt as though the spa needed a good old clean! The food for room service was actually pretty good, but again had to pay when they bought it up as no card was left at reception. On check out, I used the online service but saw I was being charged for the early check in that I did not receive I had to wait 1 hour 45 mins before given a room and therefore then had to wait at reception to speak to someone. They did take this charge off, but I was told this was a 'good will gesture' on their part. Hmmm not so convinced that should have been a good will gesture but actually the fact I wasn't given an early check in! Good value for money for the room - but the service could do with some enhancement.
