My friends and I attended an event at a hotel where we had the pleasure of staying. The experience was truly remarkable, with an exquisite view from the upper floors that left us in awe. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. Review: Our stay at the hotel during the event was nothing short of exceptional. The panoramic view from the upper floors was mesmerizing, offering a breathtaking perspective of the surroundings. The ambiance was both elegant and serene, making our time there incredibly enjoyable. The staff was attentive and the amenities were top-notch, contributing to an overall memorable experience.
Customer service and location is great. The rooms are extremely dated for a 4-star hotel. While the exteriors hallways looks as if they were renovated recently, the rooms sported a dated vibe.Rooms: 3/5
The check in was quick and easy and we got a warm cookie which was delicious! The staff was nice. However the room was lacking. It was ok but there was a bright light flashing from the ceiling and a loud banging throughout the night. The parking was extra which was not communicated in anything I got before hand. It did the job but wasn't worth the price.
Everything was what you hope for but rarely if ever receive. The staff was really great. The room was fantastic. It was hospital clean, modern, quiet, and well appointed. The king bed had high thread count luxury linens, great pillows, and a very comfortable mattress. If we're ever staying a night in London Ontario again this will be our first choice of a place to stay. Thank you to the staff of the hotel, from the ones who met us and took care of us at the front desk to the ones who clean and set up the rooms. You all made our stay something to remember! Nearby activities: We were in town for a Tommy Emmanuel Concert at Centennial Hall only 4 blocks from the hotel. Tommy was and is incredible. It was well worth the 3 hour drive and overnight stay to see and hear him in concert. We would do it again in a heartbeat. London Ontario, is a bustling city with city buses, and some traffic. The traffic is nothing like Chicago, LA, DC, or even Detroit. There is some homelessness. But we have that in the small town where we live in the USA. London Ontarion is clean, modern, and full of activity and things to do. The people there are very down to earth and friendly. It was a very enjoyable time for us. And the hotel as a base to come and go from, made us feel secure, cared for, and right at home. It really is a great place to stay! Safety: After a certain time of night you need to swipe your key card to enter the hotel. They take security seriously. It is seemless and comfortable once you're inside though, and could easily go unnoticed. But I notice and appreciate things like that. Walkability: There is much to do within walking distance. I felt secure the whole time but my wife was a little concerned with some of the street people. We didn't see many at all. And by mentioning it I don't want to alarm people. But I do want to give an honest review. There were none anywhere near our hotel. We had a great time in London Ontario and would do it all over again without hesitation.
Would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the complete joke of customer service I received. Had a room booked for me as a birthday present and called the front desk to confirm every detail, including which credit card to charge the room to. They assured us that the proper card would be charged and that there would be "something special" given to me for my birthday. First of all, nothing special was done. A little disappointing but no big deal. But then they charged the wrong card, despite the person who booked confirming the proper details, as well as me confirming those same details upon check in. When I called to inquire about the charge and get the proper card charged, I was met with complete disrespect and told that I "must have spoken to the wrong person" which I spoke to a front desk worker, along with many other excuses as to why it was my fault and not theirs. Overall I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of communication between team members, and the lack of care this place has for its guests. I would not recommend anyone stays here unless disrespect, disorganization, and lack of communication is your thing.
The location is amazing when visiting London. It’s within walking distance of Victoria park and beside the convention centre. The rooms are very dated. The electric plugs are old and don’t hold the plugs well. The showers in the bathroom are dated and go cold regularly throughout the shower. The toilets don’t evacuate well and need a couple flushes. The view is of just some buildings. The hotel staff are lovely. I would come back but don’t think it is a nicely kept place.
Overpriced and not a smooth stay, multiple little issues. Stay somewhere else. 1. Somehow got double charged, front desk wasn't able to figure it out so had to go through the bank. 2. Booking directly through them was a nightmare - online prices showed then at checkout had over 100$ in added fees. Called instead and got pushed into some phone chain of at an American call center of someone aggressively trying to upsell a pay now travel later type vacation of some sort through Hilton. 3. Room was fine but had basic amenities only, they're still using tiny bottles of hair and soap not larger dispensers, there were no robes or slippers available, bed was fine I guess but for 300$ a night I'd expect more than "fine" for facilities 4. Small gym which is ok but there's all of one bike and one elliptical so if someone else is on them you're out of luck. No cups to use the water dispenser, no provided locks for the change room lockers in the pool section. Hot tub has no jets, couldn't find the sauna mentioned at check in so maybe their "sauna" is actually the warm ish small pool that was the hot tub. And again, no slippers or robes so going down from the rooms is a bit awkward as there was also some kind of formal event happening on the same floor. Ended up changing there, bringing everything on deck, changing back to into shoes/clothes to go upstairs because I wanted to use my own shower... 5. Asked about early check in to the room on arrival and they wouldn't even look to see if the room happened to be ready just told me no straight up. No offer to luggage hold and I had to directly ask if I could at least use the parking garage until 3 when they'd actually check me in
Great room. Clean, renovated, with all the amenities including a full kitchen sink, convection oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. I'd stay here again for sureRooms: 5/5
Front desk staff was very nice and welcoming Great place to stay for my visit to the area. Convenient parkingRooms: 5/5
2 of 4 elevators working the entire time we were there made it a pain to get up to our rooms sometimes waiting 10 minutes in a line up/mob for an elevator. No mention of it or apology from any staff/management. Beds are getting past their prime, sagging in the middle a little and the parking lot is a run down mess and feels unsafe. Overall the hotel is feeling a bit tired and in need of some updating.
