Came here for our annual Xmas meal. I have been dealing with Alison for a few months to keep her informed of numbers. My partner and I have been before and food was great. Once again today the food was stunning . They couldn’t do anything better. From the moment you walk through the door. Warm , cosy , clean pub with character. Staff that are smiley and want to be there. Food amazing. Tasty , hot , fresh and so reasonably priced. Staff read back the order too so no mistakes. Nothing too much trouble and no issue paying the bill separate. Best place for Miles. Thank you Alison . Deb and Jay Paling x
Wow! What a delicious meal! Four of us booked a table and were blown away at the fabulous menu and meal that followed. I had the venison which was succulent, tasty and very nicely presented. All four of us enjoyed our main courses and desserts that followed. We will be eating here again!
We decided to come because of the other reviews and this place exceeded our expectations. Aspalls on tap, perfect. We had mussels for starters and they were delicious. Our main courses were amazing. The room was perfect and so comfortable. We will definitely be back.Rooms: 5/5
What a gorgeous place. My husband and I returned here after visiting for the first time last year. It is now our "home away from home" in Norfolk and we would change our dates around being able to stay here. Alyson and the team are so accommodating and friendly without being overbearing. Clean, comfortable rooms, Gorgeous food for every single meal, great drinks and lovely environment. Can't recommend enough!
Third or fourth time eating here now, and feel it is finally time to leave a review… and a glowing one at that! They could not have improved on a single thing for us. Truly excellent food, served by happy friendly, helpful staff who accommodated our ever my need three with strict dietary requirements include one allergy. Happy to adjust dishes to suit and none of the usual “that’s just how it comes” that we get at so many places. This will now be our one and only place to eat when visiting family in this area. Well done “team Parson Woodforde”!!
A lovely little hotel hidden away in Norfolk Booked for one night whilst attending a local event Staff were super friendly and organized, check in was quick and easy Room was a delight, cozy and warm very comfy bed Breakfast was excellent, and very thorough when it came to my dairy intolerance. Easily the best dairy free scrambled eggs I've had Check out again was simple and didn't feel rushed out of the door at all 10/10 will stay again
Called into the Parson & Woodforde hoping they’d have a table for two and our little dog, fortunately they did. We haven’t been to the pub for years, even though we live a few miles away. The landlady and staff were so friendly from the minute we walked in the door until we left. We had roast beef and veggie roast, both were delicious and plenty of it, including extra gravy for both. Will definitely be going back. Thank you team for a lovely lunch.
I really want to like this place particularly as it’s local. Unfortunately despite giving it chance after chance over the last 5 years and spending a considerable sum of money the food has always been below average and we’ve had to send something back from undercooked scampi to cold food. Not only that, we have found the owners fairly unfriendly and at times rude. Once when asked how hot the Thai chilli was, the owner shot back rudely that it was an authentic Thai curry not a Korma! Last time I checked on visiting Thailand the curry’s and food varied widely in heat, perhaps she should pay a visit! Fortunately there are some great alternatives such as the Honingham Buck or the Fox at Lyng.
