Great Camp site, One of the best I have stayed on. I stayed on a super pitch with electric and water, the location is perfect for the lake only a short walk. The play areas for the kids are easy to get to and looked after. only thing I should would say is no nets for the tennis court so not really a tennis court. The on site shop has everything you need and a little more, well stocked with toys and games for the kids. The on site restaurant is good and we didn't have to wait long for very tasty food. Great toilets and shower facilities very clean. wish the showers your a tiny bit warmer. One of the best family holidays I've been on so cant rate this place highly enough. Swimming in the lakes is great and the local pubs were really nice.
Had a great time on holiday. Park was fine, had everything we needed. We stayed on striding edge Pitch 37. This was very spacious but it's width created us a issue connecting the services with water and electric on one side and waste water on another side. We did manage this but needed to link another water hose. 1st World issues I accept but we do like to be fully connected for our main holiday. Shower block closest to the striding edge field is clearly a new addition and found the facilities there to be excellent baring fairly low water pressure in the showers. Being such a large campsite we did encounter the odd camping eyesore and there was some drama on one night which wasn't great to see with security getting involved. Shop was well stocked and generally well priced too. I would go back since we have so much left to do.
Lovely surroundings. Pitches are huge, and you even get your own water tap and picnic bench. Toilets and shower block are nice and clean. Only criticism is the button you press for shower is outside the actual shower bit so you have to lean out to press it which wets the floor you stand on to dry yourself. Seat needs to be a little bit bigger too. Shop has everything you need, well stocked. Tjs is a nice bar and restaurant on site. Food is really nice . There is also a takeaway. Would highly recommend and we will return again.
Lovely campsite in great location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the lock on our motorhome. The handyman tried his best to help. Couldn't ask for more. Food in restaurant was also lovely. Great site if you like paddle boarding or walking. Will be back xx
Simply fantastic. I've been coming here over the last few years. I've usually stayed in self catering cottages that have always been excellent. This summer we stayed on a electric motorhome pitch. The facilities such as shower/ toilets/wash area are simply another level, that I have experienced nowhere else. We will be returning each summer for sure. Please thank all the staff for their hard work. Super clean site in a wonderful location.
Was a okay stay. It's peaceful but the finding your pitch is a bit of a chew if never stayed before. We wasn't told a pitch number at first to find out it was on the dashboard slip. After we had to pay extra for the pitch we found. Signage for pitches need to be made a bigger and not behind a tree. However the shop has everything you need at reasonable price. And toliets and showers were very clean. However when you use the shower press the green button a few times to keep it on for longer.
Noisy! I had two nights booked but had to leave after one due to the noise. Loud music and shouting until 1am. Such a shame as it’s a really nice location. I wish I had read the reviews as there are lots stating the same. Very disappointing that they refuse to refund me as I didn’t report it at the time, easier said than done at 1 o’clock in the morning. If you enjoy peace and quiet then please stay away, there are loads of other sites in the area, that are far cheaper too.
Such a lovely campsite, reception helpful, shop staff super friendly, takeaway and restaurant/bar lovely. Pet and family friendly perfect place to chill and your children play in park, the shower and toilet facilities clean and well designed for families, the whole campsite was kept clean. Cannot wait to go again. Playground: 2 play grounds one suitable for younger children, and one for older. Restrooms: Clean and family friends shower rooms, plenty to use. Dog-friendliness: So dog friendly, dogs to be on leads but they are welcome in the bar, and around the park there is a dog walking area,
Great facilities and brilliant lake Access to Ullswater from the camp site, The site is huge so there is plenty of space and the shop that is located here is fantastic it literally sells everything! so don't worry if you have forgotten something, the takeaway is great also, It's a nice short walk to Pooley bridge where there is plenty of pubs and restaurants
Brilliant location, a large site with a short walk into the village. Showers, toilets are spotless and modern. Bar and food onsite are good. Plenty of walks nearby. Campsite and village are very Dog friendly.
