Great location, walking distance to town. The lodge was very clean and tidy. Kitchen has all needed equipments in good condition. It has a shop, restaurant and cafe in the park. Just you need to bring your own equipment for water sports, there is no availability for rental boards, paddles etc.
Staff absolutely wonderful, always a smile and hello, helpful and polite. The only thing lacking on the site was the shop, not much selection and minimal opening hours. However it's a short walk to other shops in town or the petrol station. The accommodation we stayed in was nice but a few wear and tear defects to be expected with a rental I suppose. The big disappointment in the accommodation was the bed. The mattress was so uncomfortable and bumpy we hardly slept. Overall a nice break and great location for the site.
Lovely resort in a convenient location with minutes walking distance to the lake and shops. It’s very quiet at night. The resort entrance area and rods were clean and easy to drive around. They have a playground as well next to the restaurant. Went on the second week of April so it wasn’t really packed. Most lodges has a parking spot right next to them make sure to check if you want your car close to load/unload the car easily as for some places it would be needed to go up some stairs where the parking spots are on the ground level. We stayed in Acorn bank lodge which was really spacious, clean and had a lovely view. It was right across the playground and restaurant.
Stayed in a lodge which was really nice. Pet friendly. Even has an encloses dog run which is great for the dog and was very clean. Overlooking the lake with picnic bench. Nice dog friendly bar on site although did seem to close whenever it wanted. No set opening times. Mobile ordering which was good. Friendly park staff.
Our recent stay at this holiday park in Bowness-on-Windermere was absolutely wonderful. The park is ideally located, just a 5-minute walk from the heart of Bowness, where you'll find excellent restaurants, shops, and pubs, as well as easy access to the boats. The location is perfect for anyone looking to explore the area on foot, by bus or by car.nnOne of the standout features is the direct access to the water from the site, which made paddleboarding and wild swimming incredibly convenient. The absence of a pool didn't matter at all since we were so close to the lake.nnThe on-site restaurant is beautifully decorated and offers high-quality food. We enjoyed the entertainment night once or twice a week, which added a fun touch to our stay. There’s also a small shop and café on-site, perfect for grabbing essentials or a quick bite. For convenience, a petrol station and Spar shop are right next door.nnThe staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially after we had to move from a different site. The park itself is peaceful, making it an ideal spot to relax and unwind.
