A fantastic place for a walk with the dog. The grounds are secure and dogs are allowed off the lead apart from on the main path around the reservoir. The main path is flat and paved for a gentler walk or for pushchair users. There are a number of other paths which take you through breathtaking woodland. There is also a little tea room and picnic area. The car parks can be a little tricky to negotiate as two are located up a steep gravely path with bays unmarked.

There are lovely walks around the lake and along woodland paths. You can get off the main routes onto lesser paths through the woods. There is also evidence of kids building dens in the woods. A great adventure for kids then and a beautiful scenic walk for everyone. The only thing letting the side down is irresponsible dog owners. I'm not saying that all dog owners are irresponsible. Dog fouling where kids play is a bad plan. Leaving dog mess on the paths is simply unpleasant. Selfish. Is this not discouraged?

Ogden is a great place for short walks just sitting beside the reservoir feeding the ducks or as a starting point for longer walks. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

A beautiful walk around the reservoir which is manageable for most people. Dog friendly. Plenty of wildlife if you keep your eyes open. A lovely place to visit.

Always a great walk. Shop a bit sporadic but not really too bothered.
