I don't care much for the sculptures at the park, occasionally there's the odd sculpture that piques my interest but generally I'm underwhelmed ...controversial I know. "Why do I go?" You may ask, well; it's a nice day out and mostly the landscapes and general feel of the space is great. It's a relaxing place. I did a guided barefoot walk around the park and really enjoyed it, so much so that I did it again without the guide.

Please be aware of the parking charges here. Instead of an entrance fee to the Sculpture Park itself, they charge £8 for all-day parking. It is up to you whether you think that is a fair price. Also, there are two car parks, one at each end of the grounds, so you'll have to decide which is best for you. As for the park itself, it's great. Various temporary exhibits in addition to the permanent art.

Fantastic place, beautiful walks and views. Art exhibits and sculptures are showcased around the grounds. Be prepared to walk quite a long way, but good for children to run around freely. Lovely café but pricey! You could take a picnic with no hassle, lots of areas to use. Recommend parking in the top car park near the main art gallery, the lower one is a longer walk.

I love this place.. great to spend a few hours walking around the grounds and looking at the different sculptures and exhibitions. There are toilet and cafe buildings doted about, along with benches and tables so you can have a rest. Be aware tho, the main building and car park is built at the top of a hillside, and after a few hours walking about and exploring, the walk back to the car park is a bit of an expedition.!!

Very nice day out with interesting exhibitions. Nice food in the restaurant which over looks the park, however it is quite expensive.. £5 for a sandwich, around £10 for a proper meal, but you can get a kids sandwich for £1.50 and a portion of chips for 2.50 which isn't bad really. Or you can just bring your own picnic as there are designated picnic spots. There is lots to see here, and there is no charge to go into the park. Be aware that parking is not free, they charge £3 an hour.
