Oakwell Hall Country Park

Love this local country park. So many different waking routes with the family. Just make sure you bring some wellies when it's wet! Our girls love waking through the wood and then stopping off at the café at the top for some cake! The playgrounds are suitable for all ages too which is a nice reward for the long walk.

An excellent Elizabethan Manor house, with a park land gardens and a visitors car park. This building has featured in productions for both the big and small screens. Most recent of which were the BBC's "Gunpowder" and "Jonathon Strange and Mr.Norrell."

Good for walking running dog walking watching nature and great for kids of all ages so come on grandad go get the kids

Great place to take your dog or just go for a walk in. There are a good number of trails and some have very well kept paths. There is a children's play area beside the car park, and the parking is free.
