Very pleasant tearoom and estate: perhaps not always easy if self conscious or for some accessibility needs. Tea room a little small inside though dog friendly, ramped access and has two outside areas. The access road is narrowly constrained in places with very little pavement, although it would be possible to drop-off into the spacious yard. It's now years since I used the accessible toilet in the tearoom as a parent carer, but it was a high toilet so not so helpful for us. The play area is great, especially the bridge and wobbly path and musical equipment and different types of swing and the zip wire, though not always maintained: however otherwise lacks some accessibility, slides and other climbing structures are hard to use, water moving Archimedes screw feature hasn't worked for years. Occasional update and maintenance but parts can look a bit shabby which isn't necessarily bad, I like a bit of worn in character. The throne in the grassy picnic area opposite the play area has been a favourite. Opportunity for wild exploitation in the play area with the willow dragon and around the pond and elsewhere in and around the whole estate. Landscape constantly under management, some part I believe now under a disease management protocol with felling and some other measures but not seen this myself to describe it. Secrets may include fox dens, charcoal burning, caves. And more.

Great place for family and for dog walking. Loads of paths and makes the moor accessible if want to walk further afield. Play area good for both kids and adults. Cafe close by. The lake has jetties to feed birds although very few were about when we visited.

This is a great countryside park and is excellent for walking. From a small stroll around the pond to a ramble around the estate, you will definitely enjoy the visit!

Very nice to walk around.. it was much nicer when all the trees hadn't been cut down in the Forrest but we understand the reasons and it's still a pleasant walk

This is a wonderful place for a walk. There is adequate car parking provision, public toilets, children's play area, picnic area and excellent dog friendly tearoom.
