Massively understaffed and only open for a handful of hours a day. Arranging to have my hospital deal with my bloods from now on. Having to wait 3 weeks for a blood test is NOT acceptable. Completely and utterly useless.
The receptionist is neither welcoming or friendly and very unhelpful, I saw a old lady who needed a emergency blood test, ok I get they don't do emergency blood tests but the receptionist was so unhelpful the poor lady had no idea what she could do , the best the receptionist was prepared to do was offer a appointment in 10 days time and offered no help what so ever !
Accepted booking on line. At reception forms were asked for and passed on. After one hour of waiting, rejected my borough and to take blood test. Extremely unhelpful inconsiderate staff. This could have been clarified at the outset. They don't even deserve one star.
It is good because you book your appointment online or on the phone but it closes at 1pm which is not great but it is okay. They know how to take blood without being in pain and they will always treat you with respect. They're all professional at their job. I have been there every year to get my blood test done and I know the staff are responsible , respectful , understanding , professional , sociable , kind and helpful. If they close later than 1pm and no number tickets limit it would be better. It is clean , tidy , modern , big , up to date and sparkling floors which is better than some place. I know that this place great at taking blood because they are so effective and efficient with everything. Get your blood test done there when you need to because if you don’t you will regret that you didn’t get done there which have professional people.
No waiting time. Just typed in the details on the self check in and in 3 min, we were called in. Nurse was very kind, she had a bit of chit chat with my 11 year old and made him comfortable before taking the blood sample. Under 10 min, we were out!
We are so upset for my dad and his experience there today . He was sent for a blood test here. He has had his blood test there before but the unfriendly and rude receptionist turned him away today and was rude regardless of the fact that he was entitle to have his blood test. He's 83, managed to get on public transport to get there even though he is not well, hence why he needed the test today. Sooo so unprofessional and heartless. I can accept they may be overstretched but someone needs to investigate thier processes and this practice. Far too many upset people. They don't answer phone calls either. Will also be complaining to them officially since they don't answer calls
I used the swiftqueue site to book a time slot for a blood test - there was lots of choice available for the next day. The building is easy to find, close to station and plenty of parking options. Just walk in and there is a screen on the wall to check yourself in, or somebody to talk to at reception. I was seen on time - in and out in 5 minutes. A great improvement on the walk-in, get a ticket and wait for ages system that used to be the norm.
The reception blonde middle aged woman was so rude and unfriendly it was beyond a joke. First was chastised for not booking in not told by the doctors and then had to book in with her. I was the second person in and others behind hadn’t booked either. The phlebotomist came out and declared all who’s booked in after 9am need to leave and come back. Only 5 of us in there so I said I wasn’t given a time. Went back to grumpy reception to be told was booked in at 9.15am. I was confused and said well others 2 that came in after me must be booked after me? The phlebotomist sternly told me they must of precooked and I must leave. Obviously cross and confused I decided to stay outside and wait was 8.36am and try look at the booking online. To my surprise was an appointment at 8.40am, 8.45am. After setting up online the phlebotomist came outside to me and asked my name, to which she told me I was actually booked in at 8.40am. . I asked why the receptionist told me 9.15am and just got shooed into having my bloods done. So complete fiasco and dreadful reception with a face on her like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Dreadful service!
took a relative for a blood test absolutely dreadful about 50 people waiting - she cannot stand for long and will have to go back - closes at 1pm should be open until 5pm 7 days a week with the amount of people needing tests and more staff taking blood. this is just the start of the long waits for tests and procedures on the nhs now.
Sent here for a blood test. Queue was outside and up the road due to social distancing but no access for wheelchairs or mobility scooters as queue goes over two kerbs in a side garden both with about an 8 inch drop.
