I recently attended my first physiotherapy session at Spire Roding East. While the initial booking experience over the phone was not very encouraging and felt somewhat unwelcoming, I still decided to proceed with the appointment.nnHowever, my experience completely changed once I arrived. I was warmly greeted by Suky at reception, who was friendly and welcoming. I arrived a little early, and she kindly offered me tea or coffee, which made a great first impression.nnMy physiotherapist, Jasmin, then came to collect me and immediately made me feel at ease with her warm and professional approach. As it was my first session, she clearly explained the process and guided me through the exercises I need to continue at home. She also provided a printed leaflet, which was very helpful for reference.nnJasmin took the time to thoroughly understand my condition following my procedure. She had clearly reviewed my consultant’s notes and discharge letter, and explained the likely causes of my symptoms in a reassuring and easy-to-understand way. She gave me confidence that the prescribed exercises will support my recovery and healing, particularly for my left knee.nnOverall, I was very impressed with the physiotherapy service and the level of care provided. Thank you.nnTo be updated..
I had the pleasure of meeting Professor Syed Sami Hoque for a consultation in London regarding several ongoing gastrointestinal concerns. As a young professional and mother of two children, with a paternal family history of both gastric and ovarian cancers, my anxiety surrounding my symptoms was understandably significant.nFrom the moment I met Professor Hoque, I was struck by his exceptional knowledge and compassionate approach. He took the time to explain my symptoms in a way that finally helped me understand the reasons why I had bowel issues and had been experiencing for many years. His communication skills are outstanding and unlike anything I have encountered in the medical field for a long time.nnThe investigations he arranged were reported in remarkable detail, and his expertise in gastroenterology is truly exceptional. I left my consultation feeling reassured and confident.nnI am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to be treated by Professor Hoque and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking expert care for gastrointestinal issues. Thank you, Professor Hoque, for your outstanding care and dedication.
I had such a positive experience at Spire East London Hospital. Everything was seamless and efficient—I was able to book an appointment with Dr Lamba straight away, and he made every effort to ensure I could get an MRI scan as soon as possible.nnA special thank you to Gillian and Lisa at reception, who truly went above and beyond. They kindly helped me find something to eat as I was having a late lunch and even arranged a quiet space for me to take a work call immediately after my appointment. Their thoughtfulness made a real difference!nnI’m very grateful for the care and support I received. Thank you!
Dear Sir/Madam,nnI am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my appointment at Spire London East Hospital on 11 June 2026.nnI had an NHS-funded appointment with a specialist scheduled for 10:50am. Upon arrival, the receptionist confirmed that I was booked in and instructed me to take a seat in the waiting area.nnAfter waiting for approximately one hour without any update, I returned to reception to ask when I would be seen. I was told that I would be seen within 15–20 minutes.nnAfter waiting for a further hour, I again approached reception to ask what was happening. The receptionist then called the doctor while I was standing there. I clearly heard the doctor ask, “Is she here?” and the receptionist replied, “Yes, she is here.” I was then told that I would be the next patient to be seen.nnApproximately 15 minutes later, I was finally seen by the doctor, who apologised for the delay. The nurse who escorted us to the consultation room informed us that the reception staff had not made the doctor aware that we had arrived.nnFollowing the appointment, I returned to reception to seek an explanation. I was given various reasons, including a “system error” and “patient error.” I do not find these explanations satisfactory. If there had been a system or patient error affecting my appointment, I do not understand why other patients were seen as scheduled while I was left waiting for over two hours.nnThe situation suggests that proper procedures were not followed and that there was a failure in communication between reception staff and the clinical team. Throughout this time, I received no proactive updates or explanations regarding the delay, despite repeatedly seeking information.nnI am extremely disappointed by the level of service I received. The excessive waiting time, lack of communication, and conflicting explanations caused significant frustration and inconvenience. As this was an NHS-funded appointment, I had taken time away from work to attend. The delay resulted in me missing additional work unnecessarily and caused avoidable disruption to my day.nnI would appreciate a full investigation into this incident and a written explanation of what occurred. I would also like to know what steps will be taken to prevent similar situations from happening to other patients in the future. In addition, I would appreciate a formal apology for the inconvenience and poor communication I experienced.
I want to express my gratitude to the Team at Spire. Being in the hospital can be daunting, but the expertise and professionalism of my surgeon Mr Patel put me at ease immediately.nThe nursing staff were attentive and kind, always appearing exactly when needed, and the overall politeness of every staff member—from reception to the clinical team—was remarkable.nThe facilities are modern and clean, and I actually looked forward to the meals from the kitchen!nEveryone at Spire London East Hospital is exceptionally polite and professional. I felt safe, cared for, and valued as a patient.nnThank you!nHighly recommended
