Our leisure suite has everything guests need to while away, recharge and relax whilst at the New Place Hotel. The fitness room and swimming pool is open from 6.30am to 10.00pm, for leisure members and all hotel guests.

Our leisure suite has everything guests need to while away, recharge and relax whilst at the New Place Hotel. The fitness room and swimming pool is open from 6.30am to 10.00pm, for leisure members and all hotel guests.

Our gym has everything from indoor rowers to medicine balls, ensuring you have the breadth of equipment to carry out a fulfilling workout.

Swimming is one the most effective forms of cardio-vascular exercise, using a whole range of muscle groups. We encourage our guests to make use of the swimming facilities at New Place Hotel, with swimming available all day, guests can get some lengths all day.

Work out in our fully-stocked gym or take to the pool for some lengths in the 15m swimming pool – we’re sure you’ll be feeling refreshed in no time.

New Place Hotel is a fantastic spot for a relaxing getaway. The hotel is in a quiet location, which made for a peaceful stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed a great dinner at the bar, which included options for kids, making it perfect for families. The highlight, however, was the breakfast. They offered a full English breakfast with some continental choices, and everything was fresh and delicious. For EV drivers, the hotel is well-equipped with three chargers—two for Teslas and one for other vehicles. Guests had great charging etiquette, moving their cars once charging was complete, making it easy for everyone to use the chargers. Overall, New Place Hotel combines a quiet location, friendly staff, and excellent amenities, making it a great choice for a relaxing stay.
Celebrated my birthday last weekend at this fabulous hotel. Absolutely wonderful time was had by all. Nice rooms, dog friendly if needed. Staff very good especially Jack who was very accommodating and goes the extra mile. Fabulous place to stay in equally fabulous grounds. Food excellent. Very good variety for breakfast. Only negative thing I would say is £12 for a sandwich rather pricey with not much of a filling or accompaniment but this was sorted out for us. That's the only thing we could fault. Don't let that put you off. This hotel is definitely worth staying at. Very good leisure facilities, good indoor pool. We will definitely be back.
Stayed for a wedding but at another venue. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Leisure facilities are great clwarm and clean staff are very friendly. Main building is full of history, beautiful gardens. Breakfast buffet was superb.Rooms: 4/5
We had a great 2 night stay here. Our room was dog friendly and on the ground floor which was perfect for us. Very clean and well looked after. The hotel grounds are absolutely gorgeous and there is a very nice woodland walk so great for dogs/children. We found a park a short walk away from the hotel too. The restaurant food was great we had three courses and every course was beautiful. The bar food and breakfast was also great. I did think the bar food was a little expensive when you just want to grab a quick lunch if you're having an evening meal later on but the food was nice so didn't feel too begrudged in the end. I'm from Yorkshire so maybe it's just me being tight... Overall great rooms and facilities facilities and we would stay again.
Stayed for 1 night. Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. We had dinner at the hotel which was very nice and great service. The highlight for me was the breakfast, cooked to perfection. Hoping to come back one day and try out the pool!Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here for a wedding and what a beautiful hotel. Lots of character, great service throughout and wonderful food/drinks. The rooms were of a good standard, but the bathroom was a little tired looking. But this did not affect our stay at all!Rooms: 4/5
Make this beautiful place great again!!! Ok, we travel with a little dog. Ok, it doesn’t have to be the best category of rooms then. We’re used to that and it is okay, although not common any more. Thankfully. BUT: we booked in April for July and were told as in photo of the mail that we‘d be upgraded from Standard to classic Double Room. And what did we see? Sorry. A poor small room, no room for 2 suitcases, no bottle of water, but dirt and broken parts such as one window that wouldn’t close any more, an ugly carpet, dirt, dust… and and and…. A youth hostel might be more comfortable. You can do better, New Place Hotel! We were lost for words but the receptionist informed us that they were fully booked and there was nothing she could do for us. Really nothing? Sad. P.S.: No room service either. If they are short of staff, why don’t they simply ask whether we would need a room service. That’s most common in many hotels nowadays. P.P.S: Please Manager, train the sweet three breakfast girls to perform. They want to, but have no idea what to do next.
Me & Me daughter stayed just for one night & I must say for the price I expected a bit more. My daughter told me how dusty our room was! My daught rang reception to ask for more milk & told me we had to pick it up ourselfs at reception? When going swimming there wasn't anyone there at all to keep an eye on things for safty! No towels there so we had to go back to room & get some. I think I just expect more hospitality for the price. Apart from that me & my daughter had a lovely time. Rooms: I expected more from the price! Safety: No body around in the swimming pool for safty

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, good food and drink. The History here was wonderful, and the gardens and grounds were stunning. Rooms were small, quaint ....it was a nice stay. As an American Travel Agent, I recommend. Rooms: Small, clean, modern esq.... Quaint rooms for a good night's sleep in buildings on property, not in main house.
