The practice is due to undergo a major facelift soon and although it will be known as
mydentist, the team will remain the same patient focused caring team. We have increased our
opening times to fit around our patients busy lives and are committed to providing the best
treatment and helping the people of Newcastle, and further afield, improve their oral health.
To complement our NHS offering, our team of 8 Clinicians, including Implantologists, Hygienists
and a Dental Therapist offer a large range of private treatments including Implants,
Orthodontics, Denture Excellence and Zoom! Professional Teeth Whitening. Interest free
finance is available to help spread the cost. Our practice is built on the principle of patient focussed, high quality care without compromise and this has ensured that we will continue to
remain a fixture in the heart of Gosforth. We look forward to welcoming you to the practice.

After a bad experience when I was younger, I've been terrified of dentist work and actively avoided it. Unfortunately I had tooth pain for a while and eventually decided to get it checked out. My dentist, Celine was really wonderful and explained everything she was doing, made me as comfortable as possible. I was extremely nervous and she understood this, taking things slowly and it was pretty much painless! I feel happier going back for regular check ups and slowly losing my fear. Thank you!

I've been a patient/client at this dental practice Since 2015.staff have always been polite and respectful as well as helpful.the dentist have always provided overwhelming professionalism even recently needed a wisdom tooth extracted put my concerns across and even though it was a struggle to get the tooth out I didn't feel any pain throughout or even later in the days of recovery. when I've needed treatment or given advice before or after treatment I feel comfortable with continuing using my dentist it's very clean and tidy and loving the new transformation.thank you for the service and professionalism you provide. I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone from my own personal experience you will not be disappointed throughout by the services provided it's one of the best

I went to see 'mydentist' yesterday morning to request an emergency appointment for treating my gun diseases because my up-left and up-right guns are bleeding, swelling and painful. I was asked in the reception to pay for private treatment at the cost of £85, which I did because of no choice. The dentist and her assistant eventually picked me up. I was given a very brief examination in less than one or two minutes, and I was told that I should either make another appointment to come back for hygiene to clean up my teeth because their hygiene was fully booked or remove the wobbling ones. And said this was all they could do for an NHS patient. I was shocked at how I have been treated, whether for an NHS or private patient! I told them I had paid £85 for private treatment. They said the computer system indicated that I was an NHS patient. After my argument, they then  called me back for less than 5-minute to briefly clean up my teeth. During my second waiting time, another lady in the reception told a new patient that if he wanted to do hygiene, he could do it now as the hygiene unit was free. There are no medical morals concerning this particular situation.

We were disappointed by our experience with Dr Atif Jaweed who did the first routine check up for our 3 year old child. The appointment was so rushed and it literally lasted for 2-3 minutes, his explanation was very poor and short. The other annoying thing was that he gave us a wrong information when we asked about the fluoride varnish and he said it should only be done in children who are 4 years and older and he won’t offer it to our child. Although in the NHS website it’s mentioned “ From the age of 3, children should be offered fluoride varnish application at least twice a year. Younger children may also be offered this treatment if your dentist thinks they need it”. I would advice you to avoid seeing him if you can.

I rang this morning for a emergency appointment and was told from the website Nhs and private can be seen but that’s not the case it’s disgusting because I never mentioned NHS until the lady said I can be seen private for £85 pounds as soon as I stated but I’m a patient with my dentist nhs I was told there’s none for NHS and they are not seen any new clients here only private. my Dentist should advertise this across their website and take this Gosforth branch off their out of hours emergency contacts. So why advertise if it’s private wow see below copied of their site……. This is the best dental surgery I've ever been to. The waiting room is always spotless as is the large fish tank there which is lovely to look at. The receptionists are very nice and helpful. I have seen 2 or 3 dentists there and they're all friendly and their work is always fantastic. The dentist I usually see now is just lovely and always gives me great advice. I recently had a crown put in and I couldn't tell which tooth it is!! They have been so good during lockdown. I've never had a problem with them. I'd definitely recommend this dental surgery.

Excellent dentists from reception through to dentist nafisah and her colleague were extremely friendly and make you feel at ease will be a shame to see them leave

Excellent service from Nafisah and her technician over the weeks for a tooth removal and bridge fitting, very pleased with the outcome.

I have been with this dentist for 22 years but a recent change in management since they became mydentist has made me and my family decide to leave. The new practice manager has always been extremely rude and unaccomodating to us and always looks for any way to point the blame at you the customer. You can be sure when anything goes wrong they will palm you off to one of the other companies involved or look for a way out of it, any way at all to lay the blame on you as the customer which has so far resulted in being unable to see the dentist, additional payments and a whole lot of wasted time. It really is a great shame as I would like to point out that James is a great dentist but unfortunately the new management is a shambles and they have not only made us feel unwelcome, but they shunned our business and failed to deliver on the most basic expectation of delivering any service at all. Completely appauling.
