I had a terrible experience with Dr Alford. My son is severely autistic and is unable to express himself and is Dr Alford's patient. Dr Alford sounded very arrogant on the phone from the very start and didn't really want to deal with me even though I am his patient's father & carer. After meeting him, he said he would refer my son to an expert but we never heard back from anyone. I made a 2nd appointment to follow up and he didn't bother to call me. I got the impression he doesn't have the slightest care for his patients.
After leaving a review for Nelson medical centre where my parents are patients, I feel obliged to compare apples to apples and leave a review for Morden Hall Medical Centre, where I am a patient. I see the same doctor each time and I cannot sing her praises highly enough. The number of patients she sees, yet, she can remember my details. The practise allows me to request for the specific doctor - others do not. Never found the practise rude and their admin team have always attended to my needs. I am moving my parents from Nelson Medical Practise to Morden Hall at the first opportunity.
I have always received excellant service from Morden Hall Medical Centre. Clinicians are knowledgable, proffessional and kind. I have been able to book appointments when I've needed them, which is unusual in general practice these days, and reception staff have been very helpful. I'd like to say a particular thank you to Nurse Abbie who was amazing today. Thank you Morden Hall!
Dr Alford has left my partner in limbo. A psychiatrist has told the GP to prescribe a anti anxiety drug, Mr Alford has refused because he believes he knows more than a specialist I guess. He has sent him back to the psychiatrist who discharged him who tells him to go back to his GP.. I’m sure MR Alford could simply communicate with Merton Uplift, but he does not.
Very rubbish GP. I called GP at 6pm and the answering machine said 6 callers are in front of you at 6pm?! now it’s 6:28 “one caller in front of you” yes, 5 people just hung up, bcs GP closes at 6:30pm 6:29pm no-one picked up the phone.
Every time I've called, I've been lucky enough to speak to Dean and he is absolutely incredible. He makes the effort to understand your request and will do as much as he can to assist with kindness and empathy. I think we can learn a lot from him :D
Dr Paul Alford at Morden hall medical centre is a racist, no regards about their patients. Refusing to authorise a medical treatment for ill patient who require medical care. Tell them to go back to their country if they want proper treatment. Stay clear of this surgery
Changed GP's within one month - no communication between the medical centre and pharmacies and terrible response. By far the worst NHS medical service received so far
Got a second appointment with Stella she is not a doctor but can make prescriptions and etc. Sadly I was not wrong about her after the first visit. She was arrogant. I did try to ignore it and except it as it is her personality. But she made 4 mistakes in the second appointment 1. She gave me not existed phone number. 2. Did not update information on a system and I had to wait 30 min in reception for a letter for my son’s school. 3. When I went to a pharmacy to collect medication it was again not an a system next day! and I had to buy it as I couldn’t waste any more time. 4. When we went to a hospital next day for xray the receptionist said they could not serve us as we were not on the system. We had to contact Stella and ask her to do her job properly. That was the last staw! Sad that this lady so irresponsible. But! The male receptionist in Morden hall medical centre is amazing. Very polite and helpful. Well done to him! These kind of people are real asset
I'm very dissatisfied after today's visit with the lady at the reception, it shouldn't have happened. Only after returning home did I realize what happened. I had an appointment scheduled for 5:10, I arrived at 5 pm, the woman in front of me couldn't log in to her apoitment because she got the wrong time. she came at 5:10 but her check-in was scheduled for 4:10, I think she should have made an appointment for the next check-in. But the lady at the reception let this person in before me. I think there are rules. I had to leave work on purpose, I work in Batterse and I was driving in traffic jams to arrive on time I asked several times why I had to wait so long - 50 minutes was the height of rudeness - the lady at the reception desk lied. Conclusions should be drawn from such an employee. Why is it that a patient who is on time is harmed by someone not showing up on time? It is unthinkable. that this good person is wronged by unqualified staff. I don't know the relationship between the receptionist and the patient, but I waited for 50 minutes.21 February 2024
