I Joined the surgery during the lockdown which had to be done online and over the phone which was understandable. However, I was unable to ever get to see a doctor for a problem I was having at the time.. We are now not in a pandemic anymore, and I think most of us are aware if we have Covid. However, I think a lot of surgery’s are using to dripfeed there workload. I work every day in retail. I don't have the luxury of calling at 8am or 7.30 pm as I work odd hours. Today I had to be somewhere at 9pm but had to leave as a problem I'm having seems to be getting worse. I called at 10am and told them it would be really helpful if I could see me today. Nope, can't get 10 mins with a doctor, I'm told to wait until next week at call at 8am!!
Terrible customer service. The lady receptionist had quite an attitude with no emotional intelligence at all. When I'm coming to the GP I don't want to be treated bad or feel uncomfortable like I felt today. I'm very disappointed about employees behaviour in this GP, this is unacceptable. No one listens to you, the doctors don't really care, no one cares about how you feel or what you need, they just call you because they are getting paid to do so. That's very sad and worrying thinking this institution should serve and take care of its patients. Your services are the worst.
Terrible service, impossible to make an appointment, calls keep cutting off over and over, crazy amount of hours wait on the phone to try and speak with someone, and when you managed to speak to someone and raise the issue, they do not really care and said they are only following protocol, and if I have any issue I can email them, and if they have no appointment on the day, they are unable to book appointment for the following day, to which they said I need to do all over again next day at 8am, for who knows how many hours. I've been 3 days on this process and still do not have an appointment.
Whenever I have called about my baby the doctor has been able to see us that morning. For my own issues I have been called promptly and given good advice / treatment. I hear horror stories of other people's GPs and this one is head and shoulders above those.
I have been with the Practice for one year now, and everyone I have spoken with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, receptionists have been so kind and helpful. Really clear communication, empathy, excellent listening and understanding, respect and patience.
Good luck if you need an important & time sensitive document signed or acknowledged by your Dr. No urgency, no clear process or protocol and no consideration for the impact this can have. Stress inducing and inefficient.
I have had a wonderful care for my hernia repair by nurse Kyla. I think she is a great asset to the Practice.
This Update is now 9 years after I have left and very little has changed. My partner who recently has had a stroke receives an appalling service. It is so bad I have had to remove my partner Susan Fraser from this bunch of total incompetents. There is one name that needs removing from this bunch of charlatans. Her name is Dr Chadwick, she is excellent, sadly we can not see her when we wish. One particular Dr is a Dr Standard. She has a filthy attitude, is rude and patronising and it's impossible to leave Susan's care in her hands. I have moved Susan away to another Surgery called Pavillion Medical Centre. They are caring and first class and Brenda on reception is absolutely outstanding. BHGP should of been shut down years ago Allan Keston You won't find a more incompetent surgery in South London. If you have anything more than a common cold use this surgery at your peril. Mums with kiddies - never - Administration is nothing short og a disgrace. A pharmacist l know told me he gets constant complaints .
Receptionist are quite unhelpful and moderately rude making you feel like you are being quite difficult when making reasonably simple requests like a repeat prescription.
Over the last few months I have had a few of appointments at the surgery while I was going through problems with personal stress. The team were so kind and helpful, keeping me informed of the process and helping me in my time of need. During COVID I can only imagine the increased strain on the surgery so getting the appointment and care I needed on short notice was perfect. Keep up the good work!
