Ive always been happy shopping here before.I needed to order a fairly specialised item and maplin was out of stock.I was told there was one in another shop fairly local.Delivery to the shop.timeline was 5 days.5 working days later i enqiured and told it had been a bank holiday and that was the reason it hadn't been delivered.This was in September!!! I enquired a few days later and was told another shop was sending the item and delivery date was in a week's time.I had looked in Argos and they had 2 in stock.Not so specalised after all.I asked for my money back at Maplin.I had paid the full amount.I might go back to Maplin but definitely won't ask for them to order products they don't have in stock.

A little pricey but good quality products and good aray of items stocked. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Friendly and enthusiastic staff but can be expensive compared to online alternatives.

Nice maplin with nicer stuff but not everything is available even if the website says in stock

Very overpriced. You can get pretty much anything cheaper and of better quality online. The staff aren't too bad, they seem to (mostly) know what they are talking about. Being an electronics and technology expert myself, I know that some of their product recommendations are more from trying to get profits out of those who do not understand what they are buying, i.e. They will always try and sell you the more/most expensive option available.
