I recently made a remote purchase of an antique instrument from this branch of Hobgoblin and I can't really say enough good things.  I spoke phone & email with Sam & Bethany extensively before the transaction.  They were very knowledgeable, informative, and helpful the whole way through on top of friendly.  I was, of course, a little worried about shipping a fragile antique but it arrived exceptionally well-packed and earlier than I had expected.  Would happily recommend Hobgoblin, and this branch in particular, if ever asked.  Thanks guys!

Great small music shop in Southampton. Give this place a shot because of the many guitar strings to choose from and lots of other musician equipment, including instruments.

I went into Hobgoblin Southampton to inquire about the value of a piano accordion I owned. Staff were super friendly and helpful giving a value for what its worth. We cracked some jokes and I left feeling super satisfied. Thanks so much Hobgoblin!

Great. Popped up to buy a violin for my youngest child. Staff very happy to help. Correctly sized for us and then tuned it for us Honestly really pleased about this as I'm really not that good at tuning.  Hewas also great with YC, making sure they knew how to get out the bow and put it away again.

I regret that for some years I've used on line sales for all my needs strings and the like but a visit to the Southampton branch has changed all that.  What a charming shop, with great friendly and informative service. So much more of an experience than just  going on line! I will be back!

Had a really good experience shopping from Hobgoblin. I ordered a guitar for my daughter which arrived promptly but unfortunately there was damage to the body. I called them and immediately they sent out a replacement and arranged for collection for the original. Excellent service throughtout. Very pleased.
