"Hidden away in the backstreets of Headington, we are a small, friendly, family run pub serving great homecooked food - known especially for our warm welcome, our beautifully kept ales, our fantastic pizzas, our HUGE flower baskets, and our grumpy cat. We have a lovely courtyard garden with heaters, blankets and cushions for the chillier evenings, and have plenty of board games, a dart board, and a regular Sunday night quiz. Its been a long couple of years for everyone, so we are doing everything we can to maintain a Covid-safe environment so that everyone can once more come down to the pub and relax with family, friends and neighbours."

One of my favourite pubs in Headington, with a nice selection of beers and short food menu. Personally, I prefer to have just a small selection of good options. I had their mushroom pie on a previous visit, so I wanted to give their mushroom pizza a try. It didn't disappoint! Very tasty, with just some chili oil on top. Don't forget the beer! I had the Meantime IPA.
My favorite pub in all of Headington and Oxford! The owners and staff are so friendly, the food is amazing, pub quiz is lots of fun, and Geri the Pub Cat is outstanding. I was part of a group of students from America, living in Headington for a few months, and Paul and his crew were so welcoming of us. The environment is fantastic here with a good selection of drinks. Go on a Sunday night, order halloumi fries or fish and chips or sticky toffee pudding, and enjoy your evening.
Lovely little pub with great beers and an outside area The kitchen was closed when I was in but great time here Lots of board games available, and a darts board
Decent ale selection, though sadly a few were out. Reasonable if underwhelming whiskey selection. Bartender was fantastic, had a good beard and knowledgeable about vegan ales which is always a bonus, also had good whiskey taste. Didn't try the food... The cat is adorable and deserves loads of treats ;
Totally awesome place! Came 2 nights in a row & the food was great & the beers cold. They love friendly dogs, so bring em along. Would highly recommend! Update: I just couldn't stay away! Came back 2 more times & had the Beef Ultimate Burger! Wow! Best burger in the area by far! The Stilton is strong, so have without if required. Thanks to all Butchers Arms staff for the awesome service ;-

Such a lovely pub. Although I don't drink very much and it's not my closest pub - 20 min walk, I consider this to be my local. So cosy, with a free cat, games and dogs welcome. I'm not a fan of the food sorry!!. Chips could be better please
Warm been and welcoming small local pub with numerous beers, ales and lagers on tap. The fresh pizzas seem popular here.
Cosy pub, events, friendly staff and a cat with personality. Would highly recommend.
