A FANTASTIC hospital. I think it must be the best one I’ve ever been to. Had a minor procedure done, had a separate single occupancy room for the day. Very nice view, great a la Carter lunch, absolutely SUPERB nursing staff who were knowledgable and with great bedside manners. The procedure itself was expertly done! Highly recommended!

I caught a severe staph infection after having collarbone surgery here in September 2015. I was 28 years old, non smoker and healthy. ( gym 3/4 times a week) I did not have a good experience here at all. Actually quite horrendous. As a private insured customer, I would have expected to have received better service than the NHS but I can honestly say that my treatment here was a disgrace, and my times with the NHS were much better. This was supposed to be minor surgery yet I ended up spending a week in hospital after the infection was recognised 2 weeks after the operation and I told two times I was fine. The only saving grace was that my doctor immediately told the hospital that I needed to have a bed and surgery once he had found out I had caught this infection. The nurses all seemed stressed, working 24 hour days without a break. I actually felt sorry for one of them, while I was in the room suffering. There were several agency staff from abroad who were uncaring and rude. My bed linen was not changed, and my partner had to several times remind be staff that I had to be washed and dressed ( which was a truly undignified experience). It is not the staff fault I believe but the management and it seems as though the hospital is just in it for making money.

A fantastic hospital in every way. I can’t praise it highly enough. The nurses are professional, knowledgeable and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Nearly all the nurses that looked after me were from Europe and were without exception outstanding. I hope that Brexit will not stop these superb people from coming to work here. Thank you all.
