Honestly the worst GP. Lazy receptionists, incompetent doctors. The other day my friends daughter hd been feeling sick and had a sore throat for over 2 weeks. The doctors said she was fine, however it worsened to the point she lost her voice. Doctors again said she was fine. Later we went to a different GP and they told my friend she had a bacterial infection in her throat that worsened because the doctors said she was fine. Honestly a disgrace, I have one friend whose mum was feeling terrible and drowsy, she could barely get up. They went to this GP 6 times doctors said she was fine. My friend knew something wasn’t right so she went to the hospital and found out her mum had the last stage of cancer. Later she died because of the doctors in this GP kept telling my friend that everything was fine with her mum when in reality she was battling with cancer. After this incident the GP wrote a letter to my friend saying her behaviour to the staff was ‘intolerable’. My friend had the right to be angry to the doctors who could have prevented the death of her mother.
The medical center is fully accessible. They also have a parking and area to keep baby strollers and buggies. They do have a seating area if you are waiting. Make sure you have an appointment before you go. The staff is polite but the service is bit slow. The doctor is good. They take pre booked appointments only. COVID measures are in place.
I've been a patient at the Aylesbury Medical center for over 20 years. Over the past 5 months it's impossible to obtain an appointment. My 7 year old is sick and needs to be seen by a doctor. They no longer book appointments, they advise you to call the emergency line at 8am which nobody picks up. When you eventually get through they advise you to call back 14.00. At 14.00 exactly the same thing happens. I have not gone there in person at 8 maybe that is the only way to obtain an appointment. I will now take my son A& E.
The doctors themselves are great, however the receptionists are terrible, when I was at the GP the receptionists were having a conversation in the other room while the phones were ringing and none of them picked up, today I tried calling the GP and spent half hour in first place only to be told I’m too late and need to try again tomorrow. Shen said “you will have to phone again at 8am” which is what I did but somehow within 45 minutes there’s no appointments available, when I was in the queue there was only 10, these receptionists need to be removed and hire people that actually want to help
Midwife services - I’d recommend, I have Charity who is just so lovely and puts you at ease. Team are as responsive as us reasonable over email non-emergency, really happy with care received during my two pregnancies to date.
The best experience I have had with a Doctor in years, it was so nice to for someone to actually listen to an issue and then act on it immediately, with correct medication now prescribed I feel so much better, not my usual practice but will be going forward a massive thank you to Dr Ramandeep.
This was my first visit to the Aylesbury Medical centre as I normally attend a different surgery - part of the same Nexus group. The appointment was made through an e-consult discussion with a GP - and this was the first available appointment within the Nexus Group. I saw Dr Shazia Kay. She was extremely good - listened carefully - did not hurry me - despite me having three health issues that needed attention. She did a thorough examination and gave me a number of prescriptions for each of the conditions. The prescriptions were then emailed to the pharmacy of my choice to collect the medicines. An all round excellent service. Thank you Dr Kay and the staff at the centre.
I tried to make an appointment for my elderly grandad this morning. The receptionists are awful. They behave like I am disturbing them from their sleep. I explained that he has been having issues with His breathing but she told me they have no appointments and would not give me an emergency appointment. The women told me go to A+E which is totally ridiculous, disgraceful and a waste of resources. I tried to call back to ask if they can give him the inhaler so he can at least manage his breathing. The receptionist said they can’t give him a medication he needs to see a doctor. THIS GP WILL NOT GIVE HIM AN APPOINTMENT BUT EXPECT HIM TO SEE THE DOCTOR TO GIVE HIM LIFE SAVING MEDICATION THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. It’s impossible to make an appointment at this surgery. The phones are rarely responded to. The Receptionist not only are unable to make any appointments but they are also unable to make any appointments for the future. My grandad Has a serious medical condition which could be rectified with medication but this surgery is refusing appointments. I will be making a formal complaint to the relevant bodies. I am registered at Another doctor surgery where we do not have to deal with this bureaucracy . We can get appointments when needed and appointments for the future if needed. This surgery needs an independent body to investigate what’s going on.
How the receptionists are allowed to get away with such disgraceful behaviour is beyond me. Being a new patient, not being allowed to finish sentences or finish questions and then consistently having the phone hung up on me mid conversation. Appalling.
This GP surgery Aylesbury medical centre need to understand how to care for their service users effectively because they lack quality of care. If you are on the phone to them at 0800, they kept you on number 1 in the queue for completely 40mins and when they eventually picked the phone they said no more bookings available, you can call back at 1400.This kind of practice is disgusting, this is not the first time I am experiencing this inequality care they are providing. I am disappointed. If they know that they are not going to attend to their service users, then they should close done instead of giving people false hope.
