The center is clean and hygienic. COVID measures are followed The center is fully accessible with accessible path , lifts , entrance and friendly toilets. The staff is polite. The appointment system is crazy specially for a pediatrician ! The waiting list is huge ! They say its due to covid Make sure you register or book soon or else be ready to wait for 6+ months! If its urgent, better go to other quicker available service!
My son was diagnosed with autism here and the process up until his diagnosis was wonderful. Lovely staff and doctors and very professional. Thereafter though, it’s just downhill. They promise all this aftercare and ongoing support and it doesn’t exist. I had to chase them for about 3 months to get the report from my sons final assessment because the doctor was on “holiday”. They promise on going phone calls, home visits etc etc and nothing happens. I’ve had one 6 week session of speech therapy which again I had to chase up and after that I’ve heard absolutely nothing from them even though he was supposed to begin a second round in February/March. Of course I understand the lockdown happened but somenSort of communication, a phone call at least, to update me would have been nice. I feelnCompletely abandoned by the sunshine house and have no idea where my sons therapy/treatment is.
As a parent I feel that I am failing my child because I have been trying to get help my child for over 10 years and am still being sent in circles. We had an an appointment over 5 months ago and have not had a report despite requesting it on several occasions. Children are being failed.
Rudest receptionist I ever came across - she’s/was the older lady there…how these types can get a job is beyond me!!!! 0 stars
Horrible Service from the CAHMS Department!nI leave messages to my son's mental Health Doctor asking for a call back but I never get the call back! When I call the CAHMS Reception, the woman seems having Mental Health problems herself as she becomes sarcastic and laughs at people if they want to complain! My son' s medication is not updated properly and I have to the their job with updating the services involved! Shameful but as long as they keep getting paid those huge salaries, they won't be bothered!
