Story

An 8 screen all digital cinema close to a great selection of restaurants, bowling and right on the world famous New Brighton Promenade - trust you will be visiting us soon and confident you will come back to us.

At The Light we cover all of your movie-going needs, showing the latest blockbusters, independent film, and bring back classics for to either revisit or experience for the first time on the big screen.

We also offer a range of event cinema in our Light Arts programme that featues ballet, opera and theatre, plus music and sport!

You can kick back and enjoy a wide selection of hot drinks, plus an extensive collection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails in our cafe bar. All of our screens are fully licenced so you can enjoy a drink whist sat in our luxury seating.

The Light is a champion of accessible cinema and provide a wide range of screenings so everybody can enjoy a day at the movies. Our programme includes subtitled, autism friendly, audio described, baby friendy and dementia friendly films!

This is now our preferred cinema on The Wirral. Screen sizes are good, audio quality is superb and seats are comfortable and you're not forced to pay extra for that privilege. They also allow you to buy wine/beer etc and take that into viewings which is a nice bonus if you're not driving. The location is also great. It's hard to believe so many New Brighton residents were against the overhaul of the front prom, at the time of proposals New Brighton had become increasingly tired and neglected, now however people have many reasons to visit, The Light is certainly one of them.

Cinema facility is great and staff are brilliant although the screens are a little small its still a good deal and the food is a great price

Considering this is a new building I was disapdisappointed by the lack of accessibility for wheelchair users. I went with my brother to only leave seconds after realising that the only spaces for wheelchair users are at the very front, and for a person who has muscular dystrophy this would be terribly painful for my brother to have to look up the whole movie. Expected alot more from a brand new building and a cinema chain.
