Good cinema. The screen was nice, sound was good, but I don't think I experienced surround sound. Pleasant experience, expensive popcorn but cheap tickets. Toilets were clean too. Friendly and helpful staff. There's ample parking and next to Conway Park station.
This movie theatre provides and nice cinematic experience! The screens and the sound quality are good and the seating is comfortable with plenty of legroom. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the venue is always clean and well-maintained. With a great selection of snacks and an easy booking process, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite films.
Two films Thursday + tonight, Friday - very friendly staff. Food and drink as usual overpriced. Deadpool/Wolverine - genuinely funny and clever - but will Deadpool ever be as fresh and funny as 1 + 2? Beetlejuice 2. Packed audience first night. Nothing special. Expected more from Tim Burton and Michael Keaton. Clean toilets. Decent atmosphere.
Vue Birkenhead. Went to the 4pm viewing 4th January.nTheatre was practically empty. People on there were mostly femal with young kids.nFrom the start there was chatter from the back of the theatre which got progressively louder as the film progressed.nAbout an hour in one woman was having a full blown conversation on her phone.nI shushed them once and this had no effect whatsoever.nWhen we exited the theatre I approached a member of staff and asked if they monitored this kind of thing.nThey said they did but only one time per show as it had been out a while. Said I should have let them know!!!nVue, your staff need to do their jobs properly. Ruined my viewing.
Ok so I don’t usually review places, but I just had to write this one on because this whole experience I had today was just annoying. I was going to see wicked because I just thought, why not it’s ariana grande init, so I get some snacks and sit down large popcorn- £8 ??!!! When the movie first started i thought, Wow this is kinda quite for a movie theatre, but whatever. Then 10 minutes into the movie, someone on the outside of the emergency exit door starts banging on the door! why?, I do not know. After a couple of minutes of this, a few people got up to go and get someone, and then it stopped. But when I tried to pay attention to the movie after that all I could hear because the movie was so quiet was everyone around me eating, opening snacks, sneezing and coughing. I could not stand this and could not concentrate on the movie with all the noise. The tip of the iceberg was when I spilt my “expensive” popcorn on the floor, so I got up and left, I have never left a movie before but I had too. I just couldn’t watch this movie id hyped up so much in my head in those conditions. Vue cinema, count your days. xoxo
