Aldi without the crap.nnPros: their bakery is spectacular, selection is pretty far and cheap. Inside is gorgeous, self checkout looks so cool.nnCons: Staff are horrendous, out of all the staff only one was good he was Italian btw. I was recording a cleaning vehicle that a staff member was pushing and suddenly the person using that vehicle went awol on me. I was in a rush and a female staff member was trying to help, I had pastries in a thin paper bag that Lidl provides, it was quite oily and so the staff member pulled out of the pastry I don't recall why. She had the product out for like 1 minute straight and the oil was going everywhere so I asked her honestly a bit too firmly to put the product back into the bag. She gave me a dirty look and said children can't correct adults, very professional answer I gotta say.nnIn conclusion, if you want cheap constant groceries without feeling depressed this is the place to go, on the other hand the staff might make you depressed. I did not like having to fight off a mad woman just to get a pizza.
I’m a regular customer and I shop here almost every day. Last evening, I witnessed a situation where a man twice tried to assault, intimidate, and shout at a cashier who was only doing her job. She handled everything professionally, while the manager named Leon failed to support her or manage the situation properly whithout him know what happened, just listent with security to this man's lies.nThe man had a big trolley and seemed to think he deserve free bags. Why does this man think he is more special than other customers?nThe cashier showed professionalism , but the manager did not. I was there and heard them suggesting to complain about the cashier, even though she had nothing to do with the issue, and the manager wasn’t even present when the situation happened. That’s unacceptable.nInstead of focusing on his duties and supporting his staff, the manager failed to act properly. The shop floor also looked messy, with boxes scattered everywhere, showing poor supervision and management.nThis kind of behavior and lack of professionalism from the manager is unacceptable. It made me free very unwelcoming, rather intimidated.
Friendly staff... very helpful. Prices gone up slightly but so has everywhere else. Great store for people on medium/low budget. Open early...close around 10pm . One of my favourite places to shop.
I brought chicken that was still in date and it smelt like rotten egg I have never smelt anything like that, I also brought potato’s from there and it come with sprouts coming out the second I had gotten it. I also brought some sweet potato and that within 2 days started sweating and absolutely stinking and was soaked I’m not sure what is going on but I will not be shopping and Lidl again
I always shop at this Lidl because I live next door, but there's a woman who works there—she's been there a long time, I think she's from Hungary or somewhere around there—and she's very rude. Today I went to the shop twice before going to the park to buy bananas, water, and pickles, and on the way back I went in to buy meat, pickles, and tangerines. Luckily, I told security that I had my previous purchases with me, and this woman, I think she's the manager, was very arrogant. She asked me what I had in there, and I think she thought I was stealing. It's a disgrace that they treat customers who have been there for over 10 years like that.
