I visited the eye care centre today to ascertain whether I needed a cataract operation. I was incredibly impressed with the smooth running of the department. The staff were great and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hospital to anyone.  I like Leighton hospital it's friendly and although busy, the staff are always reassuring, and on my visits l feel in good hands. Thanks to all staff.

I can only speak of the labour and maternity wards and both the staff and level of care were excellent. 

In many of the poor reviews I think the reviewers seem to think they have a better grasp of medicine than the doctor's do... 

The level of compassion and care given by the midwives, community support staff and care assistants is beyond anything we expected.

Be reassured you are in good, no, exceptional hands.

Excellent service today in the A&E Minor Injuries Department. Seen treated done and dusted in & out in less than three hours. No complaints whatsoever. Staff were helpful, friendly caring and informative.

I had a  tonsillectomy and I started to bleed afterward. When going into a&e there was a long wait which I understand after 5 hour off waiting I got taken up to a ward which all beds were taken, so they sat me in the day room, after being in the hospital for 6 hours already all the shops were shut I hadn't eaten all day or had any painkillers after telling staff this they said give me 20 mintues and I will be back, 2 hours later and still nothing. After 4 hours of waiting I went and asked them to remove my cannula so I could go home, at that point they want to do there duty off care and get me food and pain killers, not the point after nearly 10 hours in the hospital no one actually care that I was bleeding after a operation. I was discussed in there manor toward people.

Took my husband to a&e last Sunday instead of calling an Ambluance out he had , had a Stroke we waited from 3:40 until 7:45 to be seen by a Doctor just to be told i think you have had a Stroke it took another 1:30 hrs to get a scan so where is the vital 2hr treatment needed to help repair the damage done by a Stroke . The staff had an attitude that they were passing on to sick people which is so unprofessional.  My husband asked for something for his headache which he was given paracetamol an hour later I have to say to anyone if your husband , partner, or loved one is ill just call an ambulance don't try to help them you get no better treatment for it
