As far as hospitals go Macclesfield is the best experience I’ve had. I’ve been to them for several things since moving to the area from minor injury, to genetic testing to pregnancy loss and I can honestly say every staff member has been so lovely, compassionate and patient. So lucky to have it as our local hospital.
Really pleased with the Gynaecology team in the Outpatients Department. I was consulted and had the procedure in the same appointment. Dr Ravi's team were professional, friendly and I was very well supported by Nurse Alison in recovery. Thank you for making a not so nice procedure a good experience.
Visited the hospital yesterday after sustaining a fall. I cannot praise the ream highly enough. Reception and Triage was very prompt and I was soon seen in A and E. The doctors and nursing team were amazing. I absolutely cannot fault the standard if care. I required a CT scan, and the team conducting this were very kind and caring. Once my treatment was concluded I was discharged home with medication.nDespite the unfortunate circumstances that led to my attendance I cannot praise the team and standard of care highly enough at Macclesfield.
I was taken to Macclesfield Hospital on 15th Feb. I woke up unable to walk properly. Me & Husband were lucky as the Ambulance came within 40min from ringing for one but it was 7.10am when they came, booking into A&E was quick & apart of a couple of people it was dead. I was there for a few hrs then move inside the blue doors, which i finally got on to a trolley bed. After that I cant remember a thing. Allan my husband said I was taken to MAU, then moved to Ward 2 for 3days then moved to Critical Care for about 10days. Which is when I came to realise my surroundings, When I left CCU I was put back on Ward 2. Where I stayed for 4weeks. I had been diagnosed with Bickerstaff Brainstem Encephalitis BBE I just wanted to say how lovely the staff were from MAU, CCU , my consultant Dr Gosal & Ward 2 , you see on a lot when your on a ward for a long time, the nursing & care staff day time & at night work so hard under some challenging siturations, working short staff at times but they just get on with looking after the patients & giving them their ALL. A big thank you to Tom who runs Ward 2 & Emma who kept me in cups of tea in the week. Without the NHS we would be lost.nMoira Kirkham Henry
Avoid this hospital at all costs.nnThe staff here are clearly having to struggle under a terrible management team. This was the worst organisation I’ve ever come across even for someone with ADHD.nnI came here with BPPV. I ended up being there for 8 hours. The only reason it wasn’t longer was because we were constantly letting the nurses know what they were supposed to be doing for me next. They had no clue, no system, and clearly no management.nnIt seemed like there was one nurse managing about 50 patients simultaneously. I feel sorry for the nurses here.
