I’m just home from surgery at Spire Regency, Macclesfield. I had a breast augmentation performed by Mr J Kokan.nFrom consultation to surgery and discharge everything was perfect.nMr Kokan is kind, gentle, professional and clearly a master of his craft. He was very reassuring on the day and I had no doubts whatsoever.nThe staff are an absolute credit to Spire! Thank you to Sharon for arranging a specific date for my surgery, the welcoming ward clerks, and the nurses for looking after me so well Karen, Helen, Steph & special thanks to Nikki for helping me get through a particularly uncomfortable evening. The food was delicious shout out to the amazing kitchen team and the ward hostesses were extremely attentive.nThe theatre team were incredibly kind and reassuring prior to my anaesthetic and during recovery!nnMy room was incredibly comfortable with all necessary amenities.nI would have no hesitation in recommending/returning to Spire Regency.nThank you!
I had a hip replacement here in October. From the start the nurses and surgeon Mr Muhammed Umar, was fantastic. I can't give them enough praise.nThey chatted, made me feel comfortable and i felt more of a friend with them, than a patient.nThe operation was good, i was awake through it and it was actually quite exciting.nI laughed and joked with the nurses after, and throughout my stay.nThe food was great, i polished it all off. The chef was really funny. He parked his trolley outside my room and i couldn't help giggle at his humour.nThis is the best hospital stay i think ive ever had. Maybe i should return for my holidays nOh, top tip for guys. Wear a loose dress after the hip operation. It was a deal sealer. Much more easier to use for the week or so after. Especially loo times.
I would like to share my experience of having surgery at Spire Regency Macclesfield.nI had put surgery off for several years due to anxiety and fear, as I had never required surgery previously. My anxiety was not eased after a consultation at an NHS hospital, the hustle and bustle of both patients and nursing staff made me feel very uncomfortable.nI was then invited to go to Spire for the same consultation, what a difference and experience, you are greeted at reception professionally , and took a seat to await my call, it felt as though I was in a library, rather than hospital.nAfter a short wait, Mr Usman Khan who was to be my surgeon called my name, after a brief chat and examination I left, no anxiety whatsoever, Mr Khan made me feel so relaxed to the point that I was actually looking forward to my surgery.nFast forward to January 7th this year, the day of my operation, I had to arrive by 7a.m, as you walk in to reception it feels as you have entered a hotel, so quiet, nobody rushing around.nWithin a few minutes I was escorted to my room by a hostess who explained that somebody would see me shortly to explain how the morning will unfold.nAll in all I was visited by approximately seven members, including having my order taken for lunch.nA doctor spoke with me to discuss what to expect after surgery, and returned with a work fit note, shortly after this a pharmacist came to explain the medication she placed in my room locked cupboard.nFinally the anaesthetist introduced himself and explained his part of my operation.nI was then taken to theatre and was fully advised on the procedure, before I knew it, I was back in my room.nOnce again I have to compliment all the nursing staff, they are brilliant.nTo end my lengthy review I have say what a wonderful man and surgeon Mr Khan is.
Today I had a Gastroscopy by Mr Usman Khan.nThe procedure itself was fast and thanks to sedation I didn't feel much. This was the second procedure I had by Mr Khan.nThe Hospital is extremely clean and the staff is so welcoming.nI need to mention Linda HCA who is a great asset to Spire Hospital!nShe was with me all the way of my admission.nNothing was too much for her,and she reassured me when I was looking for my dog Roger after the procedure he is just fine.nI was under the medication And I was looking for my dog everywhere in the room…nMade the whole ward laugh.nI had a really good time even I had a tube down on my throat…nLinda and the whole crew were AMAZING!nnI would like to tell them how satisfied I’am with the service and care I have received today!
I can't stress how good the staff, nurses, physio and doctors were with me , they were really friendly and helpful even when I was pestering them for the loo!! The operation was pain free and I can't believe I have no bruising from my knee replacement. So thank you Mr Mahmud. Let's hope the next 6 weeks go smooth.
