I have recently had a total knee replacement carried out at The Regency., Macclesfield. The standard of care from all the medical staff was outstanding, from my surgeon, Mr Barnes, all the nursing staff and my Physio, Jonathan with his knowledge of the best exercises needed for recovery.The quality of the food is excellent also. I was made to feel at ease during my stay and aftercare. The limited parking is the only issue which is not a reflection on the care provided.
In December last year a had a procedure in endoscopy. I cannot fault the process from start to finish.nI was admitted promptly to a warm, quiet, comfortable and modern room with a lovely en suite. Immediately I was made to feel at ease by Kelly and Linda who were looking after me for the afternoon.nnAfter having my cannula fitted by the lovely on site doctor I was taken through to theatre where the wonderful care continued. The endoscopy lead Connie explained everything, and the whole team clearly got on well with my consultant Mr Usman Khan who is just lovely. Considering this was potentially a very anxious/embarrassing procedure I was never made to feel that way.nnI was sedated so the rest is a little hazy - however I was left to rest with constant reassurance, and bought a lovely meal when I woke up.nBoth Mr Khan and Connie came to update and reassure me before they left for the day.nnI wouldn't hesitate in returning to Spire Regency and will highly recommend. A lot of hospitals could learn a lot from here! Thank you again.
I visited the Macclesfield Spire Regency in January 2025 for a steroid injection in my left hip joint. I found the Radiology staff, Dr Gupta, Beverley and Andy to be very pleasant, friendly and reassuring. They made sure I understood the procedure, and talked with me during the whole experience. They made sure I felt comfortable leaving the department before I went home and checked on me more than once in reception.nA procedure made much more tolerable by their friendly professionalnapproach.
I recently had a knee replacement at this hospital performed by Mr Barnes and I am very happy with the result, my pain having gone now. The staff were extremely efficient and kind and food of excellent quality. My physio, Jonathan, was very professional and helpful with a dry sense of humour! Thanks for getting me walking painlessly again.
I was treated with injections via a scan by Mr A Gupta and Beverley for arthritis in my wrist joints. My treatment was done with the greatest of care and kindness. Everything was explained very clearly at each stage. I felt well supported at all times.Thank you for your expertise and professionalism.
