Following on from an accident 2 years earlier, Mr. Mahmud performed a total knee replacement on what was a damaged and very arthritic right knee. 3 months on from my surgery I’m making a very good recovery with no complications and couldn’t be more satisfied. From my first consultation through to surgery and post operative care, Mr. Mahmud has been wonderful. I think he’s a very talented surgeon who is extremely pleasant and a total professional who always put my care above anything else. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I was under the care of Mr Mahmud for a full knee replacement commencing treatment in October 2020. Of course at my age of 72 years there have been previous hospital experiences but none comes anywhere near the absolute professionalism of Mr Mahmud and his team at the Spire Hospital in Macclesfield. Every aspect from consultation until surgery and post operative processes were conducted with clear communication, attention to detail and above all the surgery was a huge success. Thank you to Mr Mahmud and his team.
Mr Mahmud is a fantastic consultant, clearly leading the profession in all areas of knee surgery. I felt in safe hands from my first appointment with Mr Mahmud and the care he and the Spire Regency hospital gave to me was first class. I am now 5 months post op ACL reconstructive surgery back at work part time as a vet and helping with all aspects of working life on my family farm. I’m still receiving physio therapy treatment but can be sure that I will have full function in my knee in the future. Thank you Mr Mahmud.
I visited Mr Mahmud about a problem with my knee he explained all options and I decided on an arthroscopy. The surgery was very quick and the results are amazing. Mr Mahmud is an extremely professional and caring person who listened to my worries and was able to explain things in terms I could understand. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing this type of surgery.
After consultation and examination, when my questions were answered clearly. Mr Mahmud suggested I consider a partial knee replacement. I opted for this procedure and have been delighted with the result. At all times Mr. Mahmud was professional and pleasant and I was able to play 18 holes of golf and walk 8 miles within the time I had set as a goal. I have no hesitation in highly recommending him and when/if I have knee issues again I know exactly who to see !
I had been experiencing increasing pain and discomfort in my left hip and my GP eventually referred me to a specialist of my choice. I randomly chose the Spire Regency in Macclesfield. My first appointment at the Spire was to discuss my problem and this was when I first met Mr Mahmud. He examined me and concluded I needed a total hip replacement. He explained the procedure in simple terms, described the recovery process and outlined the potential risks of this operation. This would be my first operation at the age of 77 and I have always had a fear of having an operation. However the discussions and explanations provided by Mr Mahmud gave me full confidence in him and what was to be done. Mr Mahmud visited me just prior to the operation going over how he would perform the operation. His attitude and demeanor again filled me with confidence. The operation went extremely well and I am sure this was one of the reasons my recovery was rapid and totally pain free. I can not praise Mr Mahmud and the Spire Regency enough.
My experience was overwhelmingly positive from first consultation to advice and information through to surgery and post op follow up. I felt listened to and well informed at every step. Any questions I had were handled with great knowledge but also patience and a calming manner. The procedure was also well organised, preparation was excellent and I was seen afterwards both immediately post op and in follow up to ensure that the operation was a success. Excellent care and a great success, I recommend Mr Mahmud to anyone requiring hip or any joint surgery
Mr Mahmud carried out Minimally Invasive Total Hip Replacement of my right hip & 7 weeks later, my left hip. This has been a total success. Within hours of the operation, I was up and about. After the first couple of days, paracetamol was enough to manage the pain and in many ways was feeling better than before the operation. Sleeping better, I felt less tired & grumpy eg happier. I walk more upright and I can now imagine doing things, like climbing Scafell, whereas my thinking was going backwards with my old hips as they were continuously deteriating. Another thing that was important for me, was getting back to work. After each operation I felt ready & did go back in the office after 3 weeks. During the 3 weeks, I had been up and about most of the time & repeating the recommended exercises. So I would like to thank Mr Mahmud & I can confirm quick recovery. This is far better than I had hoped. I recommend Mr Mahmud & his Minimally Invasive technique.
I had heard of the excellent reputation of Mr Mahmud and after his superb work on my knee I must confirm this. Great consultation, wonderful surgery and fine post-operative care. Highly recommended - many thanks!
I had already had two replacement knees one of which was 20 years old & fractured in April 2020.This was at the start of Covid.unfortunatley I couldn't be operated at the time because of the risk of catching Covid.I was wheel chair bound until I had my operation on 1.Dec.I needed a revision which was a bigger op it was made worse because of fragments embedded for 8months.It must of been very challenging for him.But it was a total success.I am very thankful I had such a good surgeon.
