A nice train station that is served by c2c trains this station has lifts to the platforms. The ticket hall area is a large size with a coffee shop inside. There are 3 platforms which a long with lots of room toilets are available here along with a waiting room. Outside is a cash machine along with a bus stop and cab stand. The station was clean and tidy.
Bus service useless. Missed two buses because what goggle stated and the timetable on the shelter stated didn't correspond with the digital display. On both occasions bus was due then dudnt arrive, nowhere in sight. Display said 30 mins to an hour for next buses. So go across to get a coffee in the station and bus turns up. This was with the 21a. Same thing happened again this time the bus 20 late or 10nearly
I grew up in Leigh on Sea and visit family who still live there. Old Leigh is lovely, I used to walk the dog there and drink in the pubs. The train route to London has much improved. A good area with local retail areas and public transport routes.
The old town is a traditional cockle fishing village
