The station is close to the sea and apart from the huge hills from either side of the station it is a great location. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet there if you ask the staff in desperate situations they can help you, but it is mainly for disabled people. The lift at the station has a tendency to fail and they need and should invest in getting it repaired properly. Outside the station the bus stops are there and there is a convenient taxi rank whenever, the taxi's decide to work.

Sudden change of train going to Southend, ended up in Leigh and then just guess or ask the guy at exit, whats going on. It appears there was bus to take over. It was rushed as if kettle and I lost my wirelrss ear piece, that is expensive one.

Rotten transport from Leigh Station. Taxi only. Maybe a bus if you are very very lucky
