Gaynor is a breath of fresh air in that surgery. I must say I haven't had the best previous experience but honestly she is an absolute ANGEL and a real credit to the surgery. To be fair, I think the admin team get a hard time but it's not their fault and totally out of control but they handle it with grace. If not for the kind admin team especially Gaynor, I think I would have left the surgery. She's my son Elijah's new fave person
I’ve joined a few Practice’s over the years after moving house and this is by FAR the worst. Some of the receptionists are extremely rude and the Dr’s are so out of touch they have no idea how hard it is to get an appointment. It was my third time trying to get a face to face appointment for a physical examination which Dr Manak said I definitely need following a telephone consultation. I had to put my two children in child care 7mths and 2years to queue at 8am outside the surgery following being on the phone for 1.20mins the previous day and being told I need a face to face app. Today the receptionist told me that there are no appointments only a covid clinic no face to faces for TWO weeks! and that elderly people have priority. I am all for the elderly but lets be real I’m nearly 40years old, people my age CAN develop symptoms which can end in tragic consequences if not checked by a Dr. Her response to this was call 999 again very rude and not the right information to give out. I know there’s always a sign saying ‘don’t be rude to staff’ but there should be a sign on their side saying ‘don’t be rude to patients!’ Visited 27 Sept 2022@8am.
Called the surgery this morning for blood results. Spoke to Gaynor on the reception desk. She was very polite, friendly and bubbly. Infact every time I call and if it happens to be Gaynor she always provides excellent service. Keep up the good job
I am a health care professional myself registered at LHC. Spoke to Gaynor for the first time . An absolute gem of a person. She was so polite, respectful and a thorough professional . What a change from some of the staff you speak to. I really hope she stays at LHC for a long time . You need staff like her and hope she gets promoted to be a reception manager. My advice when training new reception staff please make them listen to one of her telephone calls . This is how you speak to patients . She promised a call back which I did get . Fantastic !
Been a patient here for about 4 years, and must say what a shambolic state it is in. I work full time and trying to get an appointment is virtually impossible, they tell you to phone at 8am when they release the appointments for that day. Just can't get through or your on hold or you get cut off off , and phoning them in the afternoon all I can get is a phone consultation on a sunday morning. Unbelievable that it has come to this after paying 50 years of taxes and national insurance I cannot see a doctor. Maybe I should go private or just die
After 1 hour and 45min on hold, It's really sad and unfortunate to be writing this type of review however my experience has been on five separate occasions that the service is terrible. The reception staff have an attitude instantly upon a question that they are met with any query that I have regarding not answering the cqlls made, its very uncomfortable and though I want to support my local services I feel unsupported by them. Personally I don't agree with being rude to staff who work a job that is unsupported and a difficult one at that they do support the community but they're not offering that service correctly at this time and it needs to be reviewed.
This surgery is a piece of joke. I moved from Datchet Surgery 15 years ago and that time it was a superb surgery and now it has gone into the gutters. An hour and a half waiting and still you don't get any appointments. Whats the point of paying 20% taxes. Ladies at the reception are so rude. They think they are superior than the GPs. I wouldn't like to be serve by them in McDonald's or KFC. I think its time to move out of this shambolic surgery. This surgery deserves 0 star but had to give 1 star to post my review.
No point to call for appointment as no one will pick up phone, calling system is the worst I ever experienced. Its so frustrating as working person I can't go personally to queue. To be honest you have to be very healthy to keep it trying.
I’m fed up of this practice delaying and not handling my repeat prescription correctly for years now. I wish I could rate 0. The receptionist Gaynor is incredibly rude and patronising. She is not solutions oriented and appears as though she does not want to help, when that’s the basic expectation of a receptionist. She demonstrates NO accountability or empathy, very condescending and clearly very uneducated. She lacks basic communication skills. She is supposed to be handling our health concerns yet is very defensive when I challenged her approach. This practice needs to train and embed serious customers service skills, this is a people job and have higher standards when hiring receptionists. Unacceptable!!!!
If you enjoy waiting hours on the phone to speak to someone and a complete lack of appointments then this is the practice for you. Really disappointing level of service. Avoid unless you literally have no other options
