Highly recommend. Visited for first time today. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food exceptional, best meal I've had in a very long time. Pub itself is a beautiful hidden gem. Only down side is it's too far away to be our 'local'
Booked the twin room for one nights stay. This is a wonderful character pub and the hostess is very friendly and welcoming. Good parking and just a 10 minute walk from glorious Winchester. We had a lovely time.
Nice pub off the beaten strip. Good food and lovely drinks on tap. Worth a visit if you take a little walk off the centre. Less than ten mins walk from the centre. Stayed in the "Small Double Room". Room was a bit chilly and there was an annoying fire light glow on in the room. Building is cosy and quirky. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and accommodating.
Had our office Christmas lunch here. Really interesting food, prepared with an interesting twist that was successful. Eager service and quirky surroundings. Our 3-course meal was £37.40 a head, which is top end of Winchester pub prices.
A pleasant and cozy place. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the soup of the day for dinner. Very vintage furnished rooms and pub. Only pleasant impressions remained.Rooms: 5/5
Few nights away with work, nice room, excellent food, particularly the ribeye steak M-R. Lots of beer to choose from. Excellent location into Winchester. Wifi a bit slow but 4G signal decent.Rooms: 5/5
Great, atmospheric pub, came here a few times over the years and recently I moved nearby and it became my local. Good food and ales. Shame its tied to Greene King as it could have bigger selection ;
Great tasting food, generous portions and friendly quick service. Cosy in the evening with a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place.Service: 5/5
We popped in for lunch with our lively puppy and had a great experience. Several vegan options, plus water & treats for the dog - lovely
One of the best pub lunches I've had I think. Food presentation and flavour was amazing.Service: 5/5
