I stayed in room 279 and it was awful. I paid for one of their nicer rooms. All night and day there was a noise that kicked exactly at 1 minute intervals kept up all night. The mattress was so hard for me that I had back and neck ache the next day. I went to reception to complain and after 10 minute wait was eventually seen to; they offered me an upgrade and the room was lovely bed not great but the room is quiet, I have a long drive so just what I need to rest up before it. Staff were helpful once I was seen to. Breakfast was ok but would of loved to have had a soft boiled egg but couldn't find any. I was pleased they moved me to another room but was disappointed in the overall quality of the hotel compare to other hotels in the same chain. I will stay again if I am desperate.

Room wasn't ready until 16.30 even though check in was 14.00. Toilet would not flush unless flushed 5/6 times. Maintenance said that was ok! Air con only blew hot air. 1 small pillow each. Apparently there were no more pillows in the entire building! We paid for a triple room. Had a double with a fold up bed crammed in. Staff not very helpful. Manager could not be bothered to help. Definitely never staying here again.

Came here for our Christmas do! Food was awful and staff were moody. Very very over priced for what it was!

Not a typical Mercure. Rooms are very average and at the moment overheated. Staff is polite but that’s about it. The reception area has these crazy multi colour lights that keep blinking on and off like you’re entering a brothel. On the plus side the food was good.

Room was very small, water for sink and shower was brown and remnants were coming from the shower and the phone did not work. The room was dated and the bathroom not the cleanest. The staff was very polite and helpful. The shuttle to the terminal is £5 which was very convenient. Good thing we only stayed for one night waiting on our flight. Not good for any longer. Cannot comment on the food. As the saying goes you get what you pay for.
