This is a good, cheap stop-by hotel within London. Clean enough rooms, but the rest of hotel is dated and not very clean. It is on the motorway, so in and out could be restricted by one direction. The tube is not at the walking distance, but car parking is free at the hotel.Rooms: 4/5
We stayed for two nights and it was one of the worst travelodges we've ever stayed at. 1. Room doesn't look to have been cleaned in days. 2. Bathroom was really dirty didn't look to have been cleaned in weeks. The toilet had stains all over, the bath had dirt lines and the plug hole had some sort of disgusting material in it. 3. The walls are very very thin, you can hear everything from the people above. 4. Tv doesn't work at all 5. Radiator doesn't work at all either. 6. Windows are thin, you can hear everything from outside. 7. Bed isn't comfortable you can feel the springs. 8. Pillows are like clumpy and you can feel sections of the pillow which are stuck together and you can't loosen them to make it more comfortable.
We have stayed at many Travelodges over the years, but this place needs a refurb asap. Like other reviews, there was several areas of mould in the bathroom with an over-used and over-whelming smell from the shower curtain. The carpets, curtains and chair were also badly worn and dirty. The room was very hot despite a large desk fan blowing all night and cool conditions outside?! I have given 3 stars because of the free parking, friendly welcoming staff, powerful shower and location.
This was by far the worst Travelodge I have had the displeasure of using with the exception of the location. We use Travelodge all over the UK almost every weekend for work. The hotel was filthy. Me and my colleague did not want to stay but with having work 6 or 7 hours after checking in we needed to get some sleep. The room had not seen a hoover in a while. Dirt on the walls. The pull cord for the bathroom light was so dirty we didn't want to touch it. The bathroom light itself took far too long to come on after several flashes. The head board was coming away from the wall, there was 3 or 4 large spiders around the room and webs hanging from the ceiling suggesting no cleaning had been done for a long while. The room was not freshly aired out either. It was as if they hadn't opened the window in a month or 2. Even leaving the window open all night like we did, had very little effect on the room. The window had an airing vent type thing on the top of it. Which I originally opened, but the state of the inside meant I had to close it. It was disgusting. The shower was vile. The handrails were the worst I've seen in any hotel and there was no toilet seat lid. The toilet flush was temperamental as well. The light flickered for a good 6 or 7 seconds before finally coming on in there too. The beds were uncomfortable and one of them had clearly not been changed. Thankfully this was easily sorted but the standards had us concerned that even the fresh stuff was maybe not clean. Baring all that in mind, this was the disabled/accessible room as well. Absolutely ridiculous state. The location was good being just outside Heathrow. Easy on the M4 into London. But this isn't enough to justify us retuning to this Travelodge.
Soon as we opened the door we were hit by an awful stench. The room smelled so bad. Also dead flies in the corner of the room. Disgusting carpet and bathroom. Thank god we only had booked 1 night. Never again!! Next time I will be booking Premium Inn. Absolutely horrible experience. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!
Only saving grace this place has is the female member of staff that was on night of the 30th Nov 22. She was excellent. Polite and courteous. The rooms are abysmal. Mold, unable to have a bath due to a hole in the plug, 3 of the 4 lights didn't work. Overall will not use again.Rooms: 1/5
This hotel is very cheap, and handy for the M4 and Heathrow. It is also next to a Costa, Burger King and a basic shop. Don't expect too much though - the rooms are very basic and ours smells a bit funny with the standard broken window latches and cheap nasty TV that, in our case, some sadist had set to come on automatically at 6:30. The staff were very pleasant but completely clueless about the area and unable to help with simple requests. We wanted an extra mug - for a room that sleeps 4 - in addition to the one that was supplied and were told "what's in the room is what's in the room". The location can also be an issue as well as an asset. If you're here for more than one night you have to drive several miles out of the way to get on or off the M4 going the correct way. So yeah - no frills, alright for one night on the cheap. Won't be putting the Raddison out of business any time soon.
Location is the perfect free parking front of the hotel. however, the bathroom and room were not up to standard. There was a mould in the bathroom, and condensation in the room mould were around the windows me and my 12 years old both having asthma, and we struggled, I will not recommend with kids, i stayed in many travelogue but this was not my expectation.
One of the older locations. We were facing motorway but the 2nd glazing cut the noise down. Free parking. We used this as a base for exploring London. With caution walking up the service road was OK, then bus to tube station. 15 minutes up service road and turn left and there is a tesco which is better value than shops at services.
The disabled rooms are supposed to be single beds. They are not they are small single beds ie 2 foot 6 inches. The plug space is limited and none of the ones for phone cables. The toilet wasn't very safe and no safety mat in the bath which I would expect in a disabled room. Expensive for what it is. There is no space to turn for disabled scooters to get in your room
