Story

Originally built in the 1800s as one of the city’s very first power stations, a building that lit the path for Glasgow’s development, the Hotel Indigo® Glasgow hotel today puts you close to a new kind of buzz—local cuisine, world-class shopping, museums, historic theatres and sporting events. Our hotel’s design mixes Victorian architecture, high ceilings, and original brown brick with modern comfort. Murals by local artists line the walls, while our restaurant serves local dishes prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Fantastic hotel in a quiet street. Rooms are very clean spacious very comfy beds. Rooms are also soundproof. Highly recommend. There is also a car park across the road which you get a discount for.

Very nice rooms, we stayed on a family room which had 2 Queen size beds. Free mini bar too. Only minor complaint was room was very warm at night and the air con wouldn't go down below 19 degrees, very minor though. Lovely hotel, would definitely recommend.

Really smart and the staff were welcoming and helpful (including moving us to a new room in no time at all when there was a small problem with the lights in ours). The bar and restaurant are great and the food quality is excellent.

Rooms are stylish and clean.

The hotel has a great modern look. the rooms are cleans and cosy with really nice furniture and finishing touches. However the hotel is soleless, inexperienced staff who do the basics but there is no personal service. I was standing at the bar in the morning to order a coffee for a good 10 minutes the reception staff seen me as well as the Breakfast staff and nobody offered help. Checking in takes a lot of effort. No late food service which mention I had to order a Take Away at 10pm as if I was in the Premier Inn.

Room was very modern but I found it a little cold for my liking even turning the thermostat as high as it would go. Excellent location though, just a minute walk from train station and shops. Excellent service from all the staff too
