The location is good, the staff is polite, my stay here was adequate, but I don’t think I’d stay here again. The amenities are overpriced e.g. £8 for a sparse continental breakfast, there’s no kitchen or even a microwave or kettle, the bathrooms had black mould, the showers were cold or lukewarm at best, I had the thinnest pillow I’ve ever seen in my life and my duvet cover was stained, there was hardly any social scene and no events at least not while I was there, my key stopped working randomly multiple times, the hostel has absolutely no charm, and there was construction next door that literally shook the walls and screaming children in neighbouring rooms and poor insulation from the sound. It was fine as a place to sleep but I spent as little time as possible in the hostel while I was in Glasgow.
It’s a decent place for the price. The location is good and the beds were clean. I liked that the beds have curtains and the washrooms were in the room. Provided some privacy. The staff was helpful and welcoming. They don’t have a kitchen so it’s a good option for a night or two.
This is really great value for money. We had a private room which was very practical, although the toilet seat was broken. However, the service and location makes up for it. We were pretty much in the centre of Glasgow and it made it quite easy getting places, with Glasgow Central train station being not even 15 minutes away. Each day we’d come home from an outing and we’d find our room cleaned. Very lovely staff as well.
Location is good. It's 10-15min walking distance from Queen street station and Buchanan Street.nnThe receptionist was also good. The checkin was smooth.nnEverything was as shown in the listing. Bed, bathroom and linens were super clean and comfortable. There were curtains all around the bed. A lamp and socket for charging mobile through data chord and one more for charging through charger was there near the bed.nWifi password was provided in advance in email. It worked fine.nnIn female 6 bed dormitory, only problem was the location. I was in dorm no. 002 and right outside the road was there. People were talking at least till midnight on the road and could not sleep well due to that.nnA locker is provided in the dorm for each person. However, there was no lock. So, carry a lock for yourself if needed.nnIf you have to keep your bag before your checkin or after your checkout in the hostel, there is a 1 time charge of £3.nnOnly issues I found:nNo sound proof window glasses.nNo separate water tap to fill the bottle.
Staying for almost 6 weeks back to back. Very affordable And well managed. Mostly stayed in 4 bed rooms and never had any bad experience. Breakfast is good but not great. Mobile reception good inside the rooms. Any items needed better to take from nearby tesco. Most of the pubs and food shop remain open even after midnight
