- Was put in a room next to the noisy building site works on Sauchiehall St so asked to move rooms. It’s not the hotels fault there is work going on elsewhere. Was told there were no rooms available. Asked for a refund to go elsewhere which I would have preferred. I said no to an alternative room on a lower floor - so actually nearer the noise then suddenly a quieter room is available. Went out to an event, came back, got the new key. Went to the room. It’s the room I’d said no to. Called reception again and was finally move to a quiet room on the other side of the hotel. Think the receptionists thought it was funny to mess me about. I have a bad leg so walking around the hotel with luggage for no reason is the last thing I needed.n- The bed is like a rock, the security light in the room is like trying the sleep with a green airport landing light on. Not sure what the point is having blackout curtains when the room is lit up with everything else. Came here for the pool but wish I’d just stuck to CitizenM where I’ve stayed for the last 4 years.n- the room is spotlessly clean though.n- I’ve seen some comments the poolnEtc was dirty. I found it really clean, although not sure what was going on with the hot tub. It looked like someone had dumped washing up liquid in it. The changing rooms are very small and there are no cubicles. The woman on reception at the club was super friendly.n- ordered room service, it arrived cold. Not great for poached eggs. Good quality food just disappointing it wasn’t warm.
We had Afternoon Tea on Thursday afternoon, and it was really lovely. All the staff members working during that service were very welcoming and friendly.nWe were looked after by a young Asian gentleman who was very kind and attentive. We were also served at the beginning by an African lady who made a perfect caramel latte for us and was extremely welcoming and pleasant.nThe only name I managed to get was Devlyn, a lovely lady who served us Prosecco.nThank you all for making our visit so enjoyable.nWe will definitely be coming back!
I had an excellent stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The location is perfect, right in the city centre and close to shops, restaurants, and transport links. The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable.nnThe staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I especially appreciated the warm cookie at check-in a lovely touch!nnThe hotel facilities, including the pool and gym, were great and well-maintained. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again.nnHighly recommended a truly 5-star experience!
A really solid hotel overall, especially for a family stay. It is very very central and an absolute must location wise!nnAt weekends it definitely leans into the “full of families” vibe which is great in theory, but does mean the pool and breakfast can feel a bit like a competitive sport. Midweek, though, it calms down nicely and feels much more relaxed and much more in line with what it's business travel decor suggests.nnThe staff are pleasant and helpful without being overly chatty efficient rather than effusive, which actually suits the place. The rooms are clean and nice enough but tired.nnBreakfast… fine. Edible, does the job, but not something you’d rush back for. If you’ve got time and options nearby, I’d probably wander out instead.nnThe bar is very chilled, almost too chilled if you’re after atmosphere, but perfectly good for a quiet glass of wine and a bit of book time.nnAll in all, a dependable stay with a family friendly feel, just with a few moments where you might want to gently lower your expectations mainly at breakfast!.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel restaurant staff was excellent! The service, in particular, is what sets this restaurant apart. Ashley and Gayle were absolutely phenomenal. They both went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The food was equally outstanding, great options with lots of flavor, but the impeccable service from Ashley and Gayle is what will definitely bring us back. If you’re staying at the hotel or just passing through, do yourself a favor and dine here.
