A lovely hotel in the most beautiful of settings. Our suite had wonderful facilities and the most sumptuous of beds that sent me to sleep upon contact. The staff at the hotel are friendly and attentive. The local pubs are warm and welcoming and just a moments walk away. Wimbledon village is also just a five minute walk across the common (keep your eyes open for the odd Womble).

Lovely hotel set in absolutely stunning surroundings. The amenities in our suite were just simply luxurious and absolutely faultless. The staff who work in this hotel however can be a bit hit or miss. The dinner staff during our stay (second time in a year) were very friendly, but not the breakfast staff including managers - most of whom seemed grumpy, a bit reluctant to smile and not very welcoming!!! The French sounding lady at the reception was friendly but the English lady with a slightly Irish accent seemed a bit strange and curt when we checked out. Instead of asking us if everything was fine with our stay, she gave us the receipt and then just handed us the tripadvisor card asking us to leave a review?!? Very odd and as mentioned before, curt!

Had an awesome stay here, the staff were really welcoming and helpful. Our suite was amazing and perfect for us. Lovely relaxing bar/lounge and beautiful views and grounds. The traditional breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again!

Visited many times and on a whole a very nice place, lovely food/drinks and a fabulous setting. This being said I have visited a few times on a Sunday morning and attempted to get a coffee is quite possibly the most frustrating experience! You have to repeatedly follow up on your order and there seems to be an utter lack of interest from the staff! In fact on my most recent visit 2 tables (outdoors) that ordered coffees/teas and cake had not had orders fulfilled whilst we sat waited for our coffees this is despite following these up. Both tables got up and left and were dismayed at the service. Another table sat down for a few minutes were not served so got up and left. Thankfully I received my coffee and conveyed my disappointment to the manager. Hopefully they can change things around as the setting is fantastic and they have a lot going for them though have to remember that service is pivotal and customers have just to much choice nowadays to put up with terrible service.

I went here for afternoon tea and I was quite disappointed. While the setting is lovely and the service was good, the food did not match expectations nor the standards which are presented by the surroundings. Visually everything was appealing, but the scones were tiny and only one of the deserts was appetising. Worst of all, I left feeling hungry. I wouldn't recommend the afternoon tea as they need to up their game, but I have been here previously for a wedding which was nice.
