I stayed here a few weeks ago as I was training for work nearby. I arrived on a Sunday and it was a beautiful day and there was a dj playing outside and the atmosphere was amazing! Everyone was having fun! Staff members were so pleasant and helpful, especially Allan at breakfast, he always came over for a chat and asked if I was enjoying my stay. Food was amazing, Best iv had in a while! Would definitely stay again!
I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Glasgow, expecting a memorable experience but was sorely disappointed. I had paid £177 for a queen room with a river view for one night, but upon arrival, I was given a twin room with a road view. After pointing out the mistake and showing our original booking, we were moved to a double bed accessible room with a river view. Although this was better than a twin, it was still not the queen room we had booked and paid for. Adding to the frustration, I called the front desk to request something special as I planned on proposing to my partner. The staff assured me they would provide a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to make the occasion special, which I really appreciated. However, when we arrived in the room, there was nothing special prepared. This lack of follow-through was incredibly disappointing and diminished what should have been a special moment. This was just really weird, why not just say you can’t do anything?? I even offered to pay… Overall, the experience did not meet the expectations set by the Hilton brand, and I felt that the service was lacking at multiple points
A solid hotel, perfect location to have if working in the SEC or Hydro! Rooms are spacious and beds are pretty comfy, with a great spread for the breakfast buffet! It was a really enjoyable meal. The main star of the show, however, is the staff. They’re friendly, helpful and do this hotel justice.
I recently stayed at the Hilton, and while the location was perfect for visiting the Hydro, my experience with the breakfast was incredibly disappointing. Despite it being a buffet breakfast, the bacon, sausage, eggs, and beans were all cold. We even went back for a second plate when they topped up the buffet, and it was still cold. You can imagine how disappointed I am. I expected much better from a hotel of this caliber.
Great value for its facilities and location. Very comfortable and spacious in the room with free wifi and breakfast included. Good place to see the Clyde arc/bridge. Could enjoy the view just by sitting at their breakfast tables/ bar.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely staff and comfy room, overlooking the Clyde. Only thing was no charger points at all in the room. Luckily we had fully charged battery packs with us. We were on the pizza and wine deal, both of which were lovely. Great breakfast too. Nearby activities: Excellent location for the Hydro. Literally across the road.
Black mold on shower hose that would drip on your legs. Not hygienic. I asked three times for this to be cleaned with nothing being done, even though staff said it would be cleaned. I am awaiting the manager to contact me, but nothing yet. Apart from that, the food was good, the staff were friendly and it's an ideal location for an event at the SECC. And Hydro. Though the rooms could be a little modernised. Rooms: A little modernisation required. Walkability: 3 minutes to the SECC and 15 to Argyle Street Food & drinks: Good choice of food and a great Gluten Free choice.
Great location on the river Clyde, walkable to Finnieston and 30 minute walk 5 min drive along the river to the city centre. The room was nice enough, a bit basic in decor but shower facilities, good quality. The staff what make this place great. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful, and the service was always efficient. Lots of choice at breakfast, good quality food and a big shout out to Allan for making us laugh throughout breakfast to start our day with a smile was great!
We stayed here on 1 May 24 and were very happy with everything. The rooms are a little dated and you are a little bit away from downtown but there is ample parking and an outdoor area along the river to enjoy. We especially want to thank Ioneca for her friendly greeting when we arrived and for taking care of us during our stay. Top notch!!
Fantastic service. George behind the bar with the arm tattoo was excellent. Very welcoming. He deserves a raise I'd say .Rooms: 5/5
