Our host Jon went out of his way to be friendly and helpful . He gave us so much information about the local area which made our stay most enjoyable. The breakfast was also beautifully presented and tasty. We had a lovely view of Portree from the breakfast roomRooms: 4/5
This is the view from your dining room. An absolutely incredible bed and breakfast. So happy with our stay. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! Portree is such a lovely place to spend a couple nights. We hope to visit again! Thank you for a spectacular experience!Rooms: 5/5
It's difficult to decide what is the main attraction of this B&B - Jonathan's friendly and helpful tips on what to do and where to eat, Pauline's excellent breakfast, or the lovely view over Portree harbour. Together, all these things made for a great and memorable stay on the Isle of Skye for five nights. Our room was very comfy and clean, even on the rare occasion of heavy rain it was no problem for us staying indoors for a while. A special event for us was the first try of Porridge for breakfast. Thanks to Pauline, this proved to be less adventurous and more enjoyable than we expected. If you are staying at Portree, this B&B is an easy recommendation to make, just book early!
Nice location with great view from one room and breakfast nook. Not so great from 2nd room. Jonathan was a wonderful host and a pleasure to speak with. Breakfast was excellent. Wish the water pressure was a bit better but sufficient. Short walk to town.
Rented 2 rooms for my family. Very convenient location in Skye to all the spots. The hosts, Jonathan and Pauline were very welcoming and accommodating. The house has great views and the included Scottish breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend this place in Skye.
We can only echo our prespeakers: Jonathan’s and Pauline’s hospitality has really been great, warm and very cordial which made us feel at home from the first day of our 5-night-stay. Jonathan’s advices and daily weather updates have been very valuable and helpful for planning the best tours on Skye and the chats with him have been very nice in general as well!, Pauline’s breakfast was extremely delicious and adapted to our unspoken! desires from day to day, and both our room and the view on the colourful harbour have simply been amazing. The check-in, check-out and payment have all been very flexible and smooth. All in all, our stay at High Beech House is one of the main reasons why we will always keep our stay in Scotland and particularly on Skye in good and joyful memory! :-
What a fantastic little b&b in Portree. With great views and even better hosts, it becomes hard to pack up and leave this place. Full Scottish breakfast every morning with options to suit everyone. Johnathan and Pauline have done a wonderful job creating a little slice of hospitality is a beautiful little town.
Beautiful room exactly as it appears in the photos. Quiet location but a very short walk to the center of Portree. Jon and Pauline are superb hosts.Rooms: 5/5
Superb! Great breakfasts, congenial hosts, comfy room and fabulous views of the harbour, mountains etc from the breakfast room. Very clean and every effort to be Covid safe. Would definitely come again.
Probably the best location in Portree. The view is AWESOME!! Jon and Pauline were great hosts. The room was fantastic and the breakfast was great! I couldn't recommend this place more.
